I'll be shocked if he comes back next year.

I wouldn't be. Given the emphasis Hoke has on the senior class & Taylor's deep involvement in (and passion for) the team I wouldn't be surprised to see him stick around for his senior year. The NFL is tempting for everybody, but he fits the mold of most NFL prospects who come back... team leaders, room for improvement, comes from a relatively privledged family. Compare that with a guy like Fitz Toussaint who I think will leave... not very outwardly involved with the team, RB closer to his prime, needs the money to provide for his family. There's a chance they both stay and there's a chance they both go, but my money would be on Lewan staying & Fitz leaving.

I come from a relatively privileged family, but I'd still be willing to sell my soul to the Cleveland Browns or whoever for $10 million per year.

no humors bits at all in there. He's all serious, and feeding the Fort standard lines.
This has been the most boring pre-season since the internets came around to feeding us ...

This is like in Cool Runnings where they tried to be all serious.

I was interested by the part near the end where he referenced the coaches telling him about first round position projections. Maybe it's just me, but I always been curious as to how the coaches advise players in similar positions. I think it would be very interesting to be a fly on the wall for some of those player - coach meetings. Not that theatrics and large amounts of BS would be involved, but the coaches surely have to provide some sort of advisement.
A hypothetical player who is a RS junior, will be receiving his degree in four years, is a guaranteed top 10 pick in the first round, is mature/intelligent enough to deal with the transition . . . seems like it might be very difficult to advise this kid fairly when you desperately need/want him to lead your team the next year.
Not a big deal, but I've always been curious as to how this type of situation unravels.
