They also got one first place vote!

Fulmer must be voting again. Asshole.
Nah, Tom Osbourne for sure.

I think the reasoning is because so many of their losses were close last year. #10 seems high but I wouldn't be surprised if Tennessee won the East this year

The coaches poll is easily the most useless poll of them all.
August 4th, 2016 at 12:11 PM ^
It really is, other than to get people to talk about college football.

You were just waiting to break the news, weren't you?
August 4th, 2016 at 12:07 PM ^
I actually really like OSU being ranked that high for the preseason.
August 4th, 2016 at 12:07 PM ^
I'm fine with being in the Top 10 and not the Top 5. If we perform on the field, the difference will be irrelevant.

Doesn't bother me much, but Tennessee with a #1 vote and none for UM.
August 4th, 2016 at 12:08 PM ^
Seems pretty fair, except uhhh who voted Tennessee #1?!?
August 4th, 2016 at 12:55 PM ^
He has a vote and play them in the first game of the year. All three of their early non-conf opponents have votes in the poll and those coaches would have viewed a good amount of film on them.

3 away from the last spot we should be in. I want that Top 5 even if it means nothing!
August 4th, 2016 at 12:08 PM ^
I'd rather be underrated than overrated
August 4th, 2016 at 12:08 PM ^
DISRESPEKTED!!!
"doesn't not effect their lives" He used a double negative so it does effect their lives. The AP poll is a scam! Burn it down!
August 4th, 2016 at 12:09 PM ^
I still don't see the reasoning for them to be up there. Va Tech may beat them in the opener.
August 4th, 2016 at 12:13 PM ^
along with a good defense. They were leading late in all the games they lost, so I guess the coaches bank on them finishing games this year.
August 4th, 2016 at 12:17 PM ^
They did have Oklahoma on the ropes too.

teams. They have NFL talents on the roster, but they don't have a QB to go with it. If any of the SEC team have a good QB, they would be undefeated without a problem.

Sounds about right.
OSU has lost 4 games in Urban Meyer's tenure. They deserve all the benefits of the doubters.
State has as many games over the last 5 years as any program in the country.
ND has all kinds of talent and will win double digit games again, probably.

8 is all good. We'll be in the top 5 when we go to E. Landfill and grab a big road W.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Good thing the AP Poll is the one people actually recognize as the ranking. In media, publications etc.
August 4th, 2016 at 12:18 PM ^
Will look very similar. Expect M to be ranked #7 in that one... OSU probably at 5-6 though.
August 4th, 2016 at 12:28 PM ^
Oh? Have you seen the AP Poll yet?

It's the only word that all people from Ohio can reliably spell. That's why they get so excited about it.
I'm from Pittsburgh, so it doubly checks out.
But I saw Steele's projections and he's pretty much dead on accurate for the top 10 every year. He has us at 7.
Lets make this awesome board members' points go away.
Had to downvote you for setting up Buckeyejonross or whatever his name is.
