I got this mixed up with the 7th Floor Crew “hip hop group” from Miami.
I have been waiting on pins and needles for 2 Live Crew to endorse our Defensive Backs coach for almost 30 years.
My wish has been fulfilled. Finally.

I lived in Miami for several years. People up here don't realize that Luke is very influential in the youth and high school sports scene. After his rap career faded he used his money and influence to help bolster youth football leagues in the poorest parts of the city which is where the Uncle Luke moniker came from. Having a guy like that in your corner will definitely help gain inroads into the Miami high school football scene.

Uncle Luke has definitely done some great things with respect to high school football and giving back to his community, but I'm still wary of him becoming too closely associated with a college program. Let's say he has some history in this area.
Knew this would be a reply sooner or later. High school coaches of kids today probably do not share your view. Kids of today may not share your view.

They certainly had their issues, but on the other hand, they were the driving force behind the "Parental Advisory: Explicit Content" labels that let kids know which albums were cool, so it's not all bad.
