Serious response: I respect the decision as it must have been a tough one. Good for him.

Non-Serious response: Gives him another year to work on hand strengthening exercises.

Totally support any individual decision about what to do for ones health.  Hope he manages to enjoy life on campus or at home this year.

This does make me wonder if this is a flag raising about testing the transfer waters.

Y'know..I have my own opinions about both of these things, but I find it a touch amusing to see 'my body my choice' get used as a weapon by varying factions depending on the issue at hand. The amusement being that I find the slogan overly simplistic as in both cases it isn't just your own body affected and it's good bit more complex than you make the argument seem...

Totally respect his choice to sit out a year. He knows the effect this is going to have on his career, and he feels it's worth it based on the information available to him.

He won't be the last. Guys like Nico, Cam, Jaylen, Ambry, Paye....they're all at risk to opt out or just say the hell with it I'm declaring for the draft and I'm out of here. And I wouldn't blame them if they did.

I haven’t   been keeping up with everything as I’ve been Real busy lately but my immediate reaction to it makes a lot of sense for him to preserve another year eligibility wise and probably transfer as the RB room is crowded.  I like him as a player and think he’s talented so if this materializes the. I wish him luck, if he stays that’d be awesome.  Also before I get bombarded by virtue signaled what I am not saying is that he’s opting out solely for this purpose but that it looks like it makes sense when considering all information including any risk that may come with playing.
