Championship Week Early Games Open Thread

Submitted by Zone Left on

The season is ending too quickly.  Let's relish the few games we have left and hope for some interesting games.  Have fun and let's keep it about the actual games and not about, well, the other stuff.

Best part about this time of year, ABC shows games at noon. This week and last week were the first two times that ABC has had noon games televised nation-wide. It just feels right having that extra game on TV.

That Pitt commercial made me want them in the Big 10 more.

Dion Lewis should have made the Pitt with his gloves. I'm just waiting for the KO Return TD that's about to come...

Wait...Mardy is gone...what about DJ..

He's injured...oh

Mascot on mascot violence is funny.  If I was at that game with a young child though and they took a snowball in the face from a mascot, I'd be pissed though.

Plus the mascot has full facial protection from any return fire.  Bush league.

Anyone else think that was the football flying out behind Tavon Austin after making that cut?  It took me a few seconds to realize it was his shoe.  For some reason I found this hilarious.

As a PA native I love how Pitt always just manages to get the natives hopes up.  One amazing player like Dion Lews, HB Blades or Larry Fitzgerald.  Enough to get people thinking "Hey maybe we can win the Big East/end the season ranked."  Then the team always ends up mediocre.

Oh, of course.  After attending 7-8 games a year with the temperature consistently declining, I always find it odd that the final game is played in 70 degree weather.  Football is meant to be played outdoors in the elements.  What better element to play in than snow?

In the days of A-Train, Perry and Hart then I'd give us an edge in the elements.  Rumble forward.  Denard though it all about speed, precision and cuts.  An ice covered field wouldn't benefit him.
