A Case For Michigan To Join The BIG12

So..There is this. Lolz.
I believe that piece was supposed to be called, "The Case for Texas and Oklahoma to Join the Big Ten..."
A Notre Dame guy is posting advice about joining conferences?!?!
Hey, before we join our second conference, how about you join your first?

Never going to happen. Too much tradition.
The article is satire.

It was funny.

I thought about posting it to warn people to not waste their time.
The article was a solid piece of entertaining satire.
I'm glad everyone around here comments on articles that they haven't actually, you know, read.
I almost created a new account so I could up vote this twice.
brain cells committed suicide while I was reading that POS "article"?
Satire is supposed to be funny. This was not.
I agree, not very funny. I doubt we're the intended audience, however.
Funny is funny, and I can laugh at just about anything. That piece was just objectively unfunny.
It was objectively amusing, but not lol-funny.
It's just a piece for a slow football month. Too many people are treating it like it was supposed to be significant.
The best plan I have heard/read is add a bunch more teams to the B1G and put all the non-originial members into the other division. This includes Rutgers, Maryland, PSU, Nebraska, and whatever other schools who would jump at the chance to join like Uconn, Temple, and whoever else is needed to fill out the "Other" division.
Ditch Penn State, Rutgers, Nebraska, and Maryland. Play a 9 game conference schedule with the other 10 teams.
You've now heard a better idea.
I assume this means that STAEE would be in the division with Rutgers and the other unoriginal members.
Replace them with Chicago
Maybe PSU and Nebraska can be good enough to win that pillow fight of a division, but that game would suck. I'd rather PSU stay where they are as no better than the third best team in the division.
The jury is out on Durkin and Ash as head coaches, but Franklin may be the fifth or sixth best coach in our division by the end of the season.
I'm positive a hunger strike would take place if this actually happened.

Funeral receptions are good places to float bad ideas, because there is always one less person to remember you even brought up the crappy proposal.
I read the article, understood it was intended to be humorous, and left feeling empty. Because I'm used to there being humor in humorous articles.
A shraight is shart that goes straight up.
Let's be clear, this is "A Modest Proposal," not some less than brilliant idea.
Second, this modest proposal has nowhere near the obnoxiousness of fan base. I want to know Oklahoma State's plan to get AAU membership.

I came to the comments to post this. Author claims schools have never played. Laregest margin of victory in a Michigan game all-time, if I'm not mistaken.
But what about the #WARONRUTGERS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I mean, I do agree with this.
First, all Michigan conference games would, of course, occur at noon, Eastern Standard Time. Commencing a football match at other times is unseemly.
