Carson Butler released

I am not exactly sure how to correctly link a webpage on here but I copied and pasted the URL. That being said, on the bottom of the article it states, "To make room for Johnson on the roster, the Packers cut undrafted rookie tight end Carson Butler, who impressed in rookie camp but missed the end of offseason practices with a knee injury." http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/article/20090722/PKR01/90722165/195…

"impressed" but injured. Wonder if he had a chance if not for getting nicked up? Just realized used coach / analyst speak in "nicked up," which from what I've gathered over the years can mean anything from turf toe to hamstring problems to broken bones.

Amazing. It reminds me of a Boston Globe article a few years back about a HS player who had no legs at all. He played defense and just had amazing upper body strength. He used a skateboard-type thing to get around when he wasn't playing. Gotta love stories like that.

Aw shit. He's gonna come back and kick my ass for telling all of you that story. I'm going to go into hiding. Godfather style.

Carson Butler is a fine human being, a scholar athlete, a humanitarian, and a former nominee of the 2008 Nobel Peace Prize for his creation and advocacy of "violent non-violence". Rolle? Rhodes Scholar? FSU? Fuck that. Give me Michigan's manbearfreak.
