What happens if Anchorage, AK pools some money together and gets the national title game? I'm assuming there are some limitations on location. If not, we can all start donating for Ann Arbor 2020. |

Does anyone think the playcalling had to do with our apparent backup being Kennedy? It seemed like denard never kept it after those first few drives and never had direct runs which allowed for Msu to gear towards the rbs. In his |

| 2 years 21 weeks ago | It looks like we're playing |
It looks like we're playing on the road. They're turning the ball over, freaking out, throwing up terrible shots, and just overall panicking. I understand this is a good Purdue team, but jesus, can we at least play like we're expecting to score a point or four? |

They do a training trip every winter break. This year its the PR. |
| 2 years 24 weeks ago | In my experience it's always |
In my experience it's always helped. Sports as a whole give you something to talk about and give the interviewer a comfortable feeling with you as a person which is probably the most important aspect of an interview. Most people are very qualified, what seperates them is whether or not the would be good to work with. I've seen some people respond to a good natured Michigan ribbing in a bad way, getting very defensive and upset. The key is to handle it and smile at the end. |
| 2 years 24 weeks ago | Not all of the U of M |
Not all of the U of M swimmers are at Nationals. They're not rested and it's 'just a meet.' I know to a non-swimmer seeing "US NATIONALS" implies that it's the biggest meet of the year but that isn't the case. Take a look at NCAA's and judge them off of that. That being said, OSU does have a much improved team over the past couple of years. Michigan still has better head to head top end talent, however OSU has developed depth that a very young Michigan team doesn' t have yet, which is why OSU was able to beat Michigan at Big 10's last year but not in the head to head dual meet or NCAA's. Bottom is building a very good team, and this team would be great if Tyler Clary hadn't gone pro, but it is still one of the best in the nation. (This sound a lot like U of M football in hindsight) However, one knock against Bottom is that he is a HUGE proponent of the '1 year scholarship,' with swimmers not having their scholarships renewed if they don't perform to the expected level. It goes unnoticed because it's a 'non-major' sport but it definitely happens and has caused a few issues so far in his tenure. It is very accurate to say that Bottom is a 'win an NCAA championship at any cost' coach. He stays within the official rules but some people view him as a snake because of the scholarship situation, among a few other small things. You can just took a look at his last two recruiting classes which have each individually accounted for over half of the swim team's members. |

The one I'm looking for was video clips not pictures, and ended with the "helloooo heisman" call |

I know that's the speech, I was looking for the video that was themed to Michigan beating Ohio State that came out last year before the game. |
| 2 years 27 weeks ago | Because he's playing like |
Because he's playing like absolute shit. We're winning in spite of denard. He is not contributing at all. We have a good backup, what could happen? He fumbles or throws a terrible pick like Denard? |
| 2 years 31 weeks ago | If they call BJ Daniels a |
If they call BJ Daniels a true sophmore one more time I'm going to flip out. I remember him being the QB who tried to get a car out of us when we were recruiting him and as a result we were forced to take a flier on Feagin. Regardless, that would make this his THIRD year, which his profile on the USF website states despite also listing him as a Sophmore (No RS). How can ESPN be so ignorant about the "star player" of this USF team? Sorry, rant over. |

I know a few people in the Athletic Department and they all said he was informed by DB that he would be retiring. He had taken on a lesser role in recent years but he still wanted to be coaching. |

It's always has been for as long as I can remember. They host a lot of the big swim meets. When you're a not a high profile sport you take it anywhere you can get it. That being said, it's not the BP Nationals so moot point. |
| 2 years 45 weeks ago | It's Australian Rules |
It's Australian Rules Football. It's the same league that produced a punter for the Jets (I forget his name). It's actually a lot more exciting than Rugby, at least in my opinion, and when I was in Australia it's all we played. Unfortunately I was playing with a few members of the Pitt football team, including a Tight End (try tackling him) and a punter (could make a kick from anywhere). Basically the way it works is you run around trying to kick it through the posts. The middle posts are worth six, the outer posts are worth one. The goofy guys that stand behind the posts give a little pistol shooting motion with their fingers when you score. The only ways you can pass are via a punch of the ball or via a kick. If you pass it via a punch you're fair game and anyone can tackle you, but if you catch it cleanly off of a kick pass (without it hitting the ground) you get a free kick and can back away from that position and step up and kick it without being attacked (much like a free kick in soccer). Now, just because you do catch it off of a kick doesn't mean that you have to take the free kick, for example if you're on a break you can keep running like it was a regular pass. If you do run at any time after getting the ball you're allowed five steps without dribbling (its more of a time thing not a steps thing0 before you have to take a dribble which is extremely hard standing still, and even harder while running full speed. After every one point score, the team that was scored on takes the ball in from their end, however for every six pointer there is a "face off" from the middle of the field which is the ref bouncing the ball nice and high into the air. It's actually a shit ton of fun to watch if you're there and slightly drunk, and to play if you're down to wake up sore the next morning. |
| 2 years 50 weeks ago | Yeah I'm on record as saying |
Yeah I'm on record as saying they'll have new ownership by this time next year. There was so much excitement for it and within a week it was empty. If they had built up a following with these specials for the remainder of last semester they wouldn't have the problems they have now. $10 pitchers just don't fly with college students. Neither does shitty service. |

Supposedly Packard Pub has been renovating their downstairs for the World Cup. It's a pretty good place to watch the games with tons of TV's there. I'm not sure what their hours will be during the world cup but currently they're only open nights. They do have $3 pitchers now and 1/2 off all appetizers as they attempt to gain some popularity. |

| 3 years 39 weeks ago | Thanks for the help, I forgot |
Thanks for the help, I forgot about the details of Iowa so thanks for setting me straight, I've removed the note. As for the Minnesota/Indiana rivalry I agree, Indiana is starting to go down a little bit but overall I think everyone gets a little more fired up over Indiana (at least on the Men's side). On that note, Indiana may start to go down the tube slightly, a couple of their swimmers were caught by the police allegedly doing drugs with some of the recruits (I used to swim with and know a kid on the team who was involved). As a result they find themselves in a little trouble so it'll be interesting to see how that turns out. Thanks again for the help, I appreciate your input! |
