Bruce Weber has lost his team
Bruce Weber has lost his team, they currently trail Nebraska 64-36. I am guessing that means he has also lost his job. Hopefully they don't get it turned around before UM goes into Assembly Hall.

It has been mostly downhill for him since his '05 run with Bill Self's players. Even some good infusions of talent haven't helped that much. It's odd for a guy who came up at least partly through the minor leagues (so to speak).

I was actually thinking the same thing last week while watching Illinois play. Self really rebuilt that program and had them playing great ball. Under Weber it just seems like a steady decline.

Currently a 42-2 run for Nebraska. Dear god.

Is that true?!?
If so, that must have been planned by the players, no?

That's the sort of stuff you see on the yahoo frontpage. "Texas HS team wins game 105-8"

Haha that's a great

Illinois had their biggest lead at 24-16, then Nebraska went on a 26-2 run, or 36-4, or 43-7
Still crazy, but not 42-2

Yeah, I went through the play-by-play and counted 40-7. Either way, it's still incredible. But 42-2 and Weber would have been fired during the game.

Brian Ellerbe in Cameron thinks that's a rough stretch.

is certainly crazy, but then you remember the run is being done by Nebraska's basketball team! Cripes! If that isnt losing the team....
