Brent Petway played in EuroLeague title game
He scored 2 points in 16 minutes for Oympiacos in a 78-59 loss to Real Madrid on Sunday. Not a bad career progression. EuroLeague Final Four is a huge event.
Olympiacos is based in Athens. This is his second year with that team.
Is 2 points in 16 minutes thread-worthy? I mean I can come back tomorrow and post a recap of my intramural game tonight if you want.
and have you ever shaved your head into a winged helmet while being the lone bright spot in an abysmal stretch of UM bball? No? STFU then.
calm down brah

I'm game. See you soon.
yes, I do want to see a recap of your game tomorrow.
Euroleague is just a tad tougher than IM basketball.
What a toss - that almost went in on its own.
should still be our uniforms.
So fun to watch when he was here...
Who is this?
He was our high flyer during the long winter, early/mid 2000s. Could absolutely jump out of the gym but never really became anything more than that for us.
Thanks. For some reason I was thinking of the recent Nebraska Petway and I was confused.
Brent Petway = former Michigan player
Terran Petteway = current Nebraska player
Here's an interesting web site that shows all of Michigan's NBA and ABA players. It is sortable by topic (for instance Rice and Webbe are 1-2 in career points, Webber and Howard are 1-2 in rebounds, Rickey Green and Jamal Crawford are 1-2 in assists, Trey Burke is #3 in assists per game). Check it out.
Did you know that possibly the greatest Michigan player of all time, Cazzie Russell, never made a 3 pointer as a pro? Trick question - he played before the 3 pointer was allowed.
Took a mini-course entitled "Volcanoes" with Petway. Nice chap.
I took a class entitled "Earth: A Dynamic Planet". It was nicknamed "rocks for jocks" due to the heavy concentration of athletes in it. It was no joke. Harder than almost any other LSA class I took and it ended up being one of my worst grades at UM.
On the flip side, I'd recommend Anthro Bio 101, which gave me my first and only A+ of my academic career (kindergarden through law school).
Is that the best nickname ever for a Michigan basketball player?
Who else is even in contention? Tractor Traylor?
We need more nicknames.

He played for them from 2010-11
We didn't do ourselves any favors, but our 2006 team got screwed out of a tournament bid.
2007 as well.
Similar teams record wise over these past few years made it, but back then it was fun for the committee to screw us over.
When you see laughable bids like 2011 Michigan State and 2014 Iowa, it makes me shake my head.
In the end, it worked out because it forced the school and program about getting serious and improving the facilities.
I do wish we would have hired Beilein around 2002.
