My friend says they come just a few weeks or less before the season starts if you get them by mail... I choose to pick them up at the ticket office

I ordered tickets last year and also ordered them again this year.  You will get an email for pick up at the U of M ticket office before the first game. But don't worry. Last year I didnt get the email to go pick them up until the week before (or maybe even week of, I can't really remember) the first game.

Last year, they were available to get picked up 5 days before the exhibition game (I never delete e-mails so I quick checked). This means we'll probably get an e-mail around Monday to go pick them up at the ticket office. Otherwise, some people have picked them up at the game.

Speaking of basketball, I'm jacked for the start of the season. It's gonna be a good year in the Maize Rage.

I will take one second to quickly echo everyone else's statements that the student tickets will be available for pick-up at the ticket office by some time early next week and you will get an email when they are ready.

Having said that, however, they usually have some sort of event surrounding the pick-up of tickets, like an open practice that just us in the Maize Rage are invited to with free pizza and stuff. I encourage any student who has purchased tickets to go to this event. It is going to be a great season in the Maize Rage.

Lastly, I would like to urge any student with tickets to go to every game, no matter if we are playing Western Carolina, Iowa State, or Ohio State. It truly makes it so much more fun when the stands are packed for every game, not just for the big ones. When I show up to a game against a crappy team and we have 200 students at the game, it is just no fun. When we have 3,000 students pouncing on and heckling the opposing team while we are beating them by 30 points, it is fun. I'm not suggesting that we should be unsportsmanlike, in fact I would say we need to be incredibly sportsmanlike in the Maize Rage, but we need to support this team during every game and everyone will have a better time at games. Also, don't come to a game and just stand there (or worse yet, sit there). Popcorn with us, participate in the chants, be loud, be proud, etc. The more participation we have, the more fun we will have, and honestly, the better our team will be at home.

End of plea.
