Was cheap, but he did it multiple times so might have been warned. Caused the first double technical when someone on the bench said something back to him apparently. He's from DC, not sure how much interest Maryland showed.

The rotation (thankfully) shrunk way down in the second half, I'm impressed with Dickinson's endurance. The bench was iffy tonight but Smith, Wagner, and HD more than accounted for what was lacking.

Wrt the bench, I think Brown had a rough night, particularly the first half. That said, Johns played some great first half minutes.

Considering that we were picking up Maryland full court for most of the game, the guards’ stamina was impressive. Coach Howard took advantage of the week between games.

Great game all around, this is a big road win! Maryland hadn’t given up 80 points in damn near 3 years. Best game Mike Smith has had in a Michigan jersey!!

We ended the 2019-2020 season by losing to Maryland.
We ended 2020 by beating Maryland.

Mike Smith was such an underrated pickup by Juwan. His defense isn't good but offensively he's playing at a really high level. He creates for himself, gets great penetration and finds open shooters or makes those nice little pocket passes to the bigs for easy buckets. Going into the season we thought PG and C would be weak spots but Juwan found some incredible answers there in Smith and Dickinson. Sign of a great talent evaluator and developer.

I was discussing this with my father. He’s experienced and has some damn good ball skills. My question was I wonder why he transferred in the first place? Clearly not playing time. Not regretting his decision. Probably best decision he’s ever made!

I think the Ivy League only allows you to play for four seasons regardless if you redshirt a year. So, basically, he had to transfer if he wanted to continue playing college basketball.

Out executing the opponent and utilizing an aggressive offense that kept its foot on the gas rather than slowing down the offensive sets to bleed clock is how we weathered the storm and eventually forced Maryland to mean-revert on their 3-point shooting.
Michigan football take note.

Mike Smith is a huge upgrade at pg on offense . He can shoot free throws , hit threes , penetrate , and pass . 16 6 and 6 tonight

Zavier was an excellent, if limited, player
Beilein got every ounce out of the guy and it was clear last year that Juwan didn't really know what to do with him. He knows what he wants to do with Mike Smith.

We went to Maryland and won by double digits despite them shooting 9-11 from 3 in the first half.

Fun, fun team to watch - the passing tonight was absolutely fantastic.
Michigan has a bunch of weapons, and an absolute stud in HD - I cannot believe that kid's a freshman. Wow, he plays a refined, beautiful game.
