Auburn's Nick Fairley: Cheap Shot Artist

Submitted by Glen Masons Hot Wife on

Looking for more reasons to not like Auburn this year? Look no further. This dude should be booted for the year. Link below. Auburn homers are trying to justify this guy's performance. Truly sickening.

I saw the hit to UGA's QB that was extremely late but that drag of his face-mask against the chin was sickening. Kid should be booted off the team. I've never seen anything that dirty, in college football, in my life.

This is the same kid who knocked Mallet out of the game with a head shot when they played Arkansas.  He also body slamed someone (Charles Martin style for those who remember) when they played LSU. This kid plays dirty when hes presented with a tough oppenent.

He has been conditioned to play dirty when they are in a tough game and his team has been rewarded without any repercussions. It seems like this is something that the coaches had to be aware of, yet they never took action.

I hope they come down on him hard for such repeat offenses, but don't count on the SEC to do anything.

Fairley's facemask was caught on the chinstrap of Murray. That was just unfortunate.

The helmet in the knee looked bad but it's hard to tell if it was intentional. That's a large man moving really fast with a lot of momentum.

The helmet square in the back of Murray well after he had gotten rid of the ball however...

Well at least she has the recourse to at least say, I was only retaliating for the cheap shots I was receiving from BYU and there were quite a few (doesn't make for as good a story I know and certainly doesn't justify her behavior). However, I'm fairly certain that Aaron Murray wasn't going around throwing elbows into this guy after the play or away from the ball. Though perhaps he should have been.

My friend who was a WR at Northwestern last year said Auburn was the dirtiest most disrespectful team he has ever played against.. after their bowl game last year.

We all know stuff happens in the piles etc..  but he said the amount of cheap shots and smack talk was unreal..  I so wish NW would of pulled it out in the end.

As for the story about how Fairley got into school, I find it funny that his high school principal said he doesn't have direct access to grades.  In my experience at multiple schools, the principal ALWAYS has direct access to grades...and could easily get access if necessary.

That whole deal sounds shady.

The SEC should probably act to suspend Fairley beyond the first half of the next game.  That was ridiculous.

...and I honestly can't tell you which is the worst.  They seem like an attempt to wound, an attempt to seriously injure, and an attempt to kabob (not in that order).

I actually watched that cheap shot from behind on tv, and what was just as sick was Danielson excusing the play because he is a high motor player and its hard for those types of players to check themselves.

The hit from behind was cheap but not deservant of a suspension. However, the helmet grinding the chin was dirty and clearly showed an intention to inflect pain. Its the SEC and they dont have a Jim Delaney overlooking everything so i doubt a suspension happens.

What is up with the NCCA they nit pick yet allow some this kind of stuff. Fairley should be done for the year. We had just a touch of this Saturday when Kerrigan pulled Robinson's hair when they let the small stuff go it becomes bigger. The NFL would fine these players all we can do is sit them and they should.

I really never had a dog in the Bama-Auburn rivalry until Saban showed up and turned Bama into "Infinite Scholarship State."  So I disliked them for that.  But man, Auburn is about as unlikeable an institution as there is this year.  Bleh, that entire state sucks.

at the end of that post made mention of Kerrigan pulling hair in the Michigan game.  I did see once instance where he gave a good yank on Denard's dreads.  Didn't catch him do it again.

Didn't feel it worth making a stink over.  If football players want to play with long hair, that kind of shit is going to happen.  However, after seeing someone else bring it up, I was wondering if it happened more than once?  Anyone?

Opponents have given late hits and cheap shots to Michigan all year.  Sam Webb has said a few times, in a rather animated and disgusted voice on the radio, that Martin's injury was due to a dirty play from an MSU player.  Denard, Tate, and most of the recievers have been hit so many times after they were already out of bounds this year that I am tempted to try and find out when they changed the rule to allow them.

I noticed plenty of late hits by Purdue, but for some reason, just as in most Michigan games, cheap hits aren't called unless they are so flagrant that they can't possibly be ignored.  As with all of the coaches and teams at Michigan I can remember, Michigan doesn't retaliate.  They stay classy and play clean.

I'm very glad for that, but part of me would like to see a few of the worst offenders get a little bit back once in awhile.  I wish the refs would just do their jobs and penalize teams for late hits and twisting ankles in "the pile."

The hit on Martin was DEFINITELY dirty.  The thing is, it wasn't even the combo work of an offensive lineman and a running back; those types of plays are somewhat understandable because the running back is looking for someone to hit but probably doesn't like to take on a 300-pounder up high.

The hit on Martin was when the center (I think) had him engaged up high and the left guard dove at his lower leg.  I don't know if that's the accurate combination of offensive linemen, but it was two linemen, nonetheless.  THAT'S dirty.  Linemen know better.

I saw that (I believe it was after the play), and the LiveBlog exploded a bit.  Nothing came of it, and while I think it might have been accidental to an extent, it definitely should be sent to the commissioner's office for review.

This guy should be gone.  His coach says he has watched the plays over and over again and doesn't see anything wrong.  Huh?  Is he blind?  If he had a classy bone in his body, he would suspend the kid and send a message.  Apparently classy and Auburn go together like "going to class" and osu.

The article that states the principal doesn't have access to grades is a joke.  I have served on several school boards over the years and the principal has access to anything they want, including grades.  My guess is that the principal got a payment for the grade changes.  Not like Auburn isn't willing to pay for talent.

Here Fairley is body slamming the LSU and Louisiana Monroe QBs. http://www.thewizofodds.com/the_wiz_of_odds/2010/11/auburn-cheap-shot.html

Auburn has by far the dirtiest player in the NCAA and also have the laptop out the window throwing, money taking QB (allegedly...probably) who will probably win (and degrade...and eventually have to vacate) the heisman trophy. And what does the NCAA do? It gives Michigan a "major" sanction for extra stretching and coaching activities. Let's send Rosenberg to Alabama, he'll thank us later.

I wouldn't say this about anyone but I hope Nick Saban puts Marcell Dareus in as a full back on offense and tells him to "take care" of Fairley.
