Armstrong twins commit to OSU

So our conquering of Ohio recruiting may not be a walkover. Michigan had offered both Devontae and Deontae Armstrong, both 4-star offensive tackles from Lakewood. It's a competition.

We got Roebuck, not concerned. They are good players no doubt, but we got the guys we want it seems and are in good position for others along o-line. In Ohio, we are already making good strides and in good position elsewhere. It's foolish to think we'd lock out OSU, but the fact we got Marshall and co is quite the haul thus far.

This right here. If we can land Brian Robinson that would be great too. Scott and West seem to be winnable too for us.

If we can get the Davis commitment this week, hoping we get a few more commitments to round out the class and we start to go after some bigger fish.

I’m fine with them going there. We got Marshall and I really want at least one of the top cornerbacks in the state. With OSU’s pass happy offense, we need to be concentrating on elite corners. Get Robinson, and either Scott or West and call it a day in Ohio. That would be 6 of the top 15.

Even with our recent resurgence in the state, OSU is still going to get a majority of the top recruits within their own state border. So no real surprise or detriment to us. OL is definitely a position group where I trust our scouting, development and utilization over theirs.

Ohio kids picking OSU is the status quo. Ohio has nothing else going for it so everyone there idolizes OSU. The fact that we’re going in and recruiting Ohio is the impressive part, not Ohio keeping their own kids there

As an Ohio resident, this is true! Everyone bleeds scarlet and grey. Kids do not idolize professional teams, it's OSU football.

So the fact we come into he state, beat them, take half the top recruits from the state, and not miss a beat will demoralize Ohio and this will largely hurt them mentally, especially if we can beat them a third time. We could raid Ohio any time we'd want.

Cincinnati has a lot of Michigan fans as well.  When I moved here I was surprised by the amount of Michigan gear I saw on people in this area.  I have several friends in Cinci that grew up here and didn't go to college but are big Michigan fans.

When I first arrived I thought they must all be Moler high school kids (Same colors and M logo) but was pleasantly surprised when I heard the amount of "Go Blue!" calls when I walk around the city.

Good players, but not a big loss for Michigan.

Besides Hamilton and Roebuck who are in the fold, Michigan leads or is in very good shape with, 4*OT-Max Anderson, 4*OT-Andrew Sprague, and 4*OL-Blake Frazier. There are others that Michigan is high on as well. I'm sure the list will grow as we get deeper into this cycle. Michigan is headed for what could be a great O-Line class.

Agreed not a big loss, but it sure would have shown we emphatically kicked down the border door by getting two more 4* out of St Ed's. These two prospect have good potential, but we have plenty of option on OL.

Ohio prospects aren't as numerous as they used to be, but it's still fertile for the Midwest.

It’s sad we didn’t get these guys, because…

I love football on TV, shots of Gena Lee, hanging with my friends, and, and… and TWINS!!!”
