Didn't see it, but it's hard to believe a player would "mock" a prayer of all things. But I'm irritated after this loss so...
Bilema lacks family values.
November 20th, 2010 at 3:45 PM ^
What did he do exactly?
November 20th, 2010 at 3:50 PM ^
They zoomed in on Ball after that short run into th end zone, and he collapsed to the ground the same way denard always does and the way he did it, it def looked like he was mocking him..
I wouldn't expect someone to mock a player for praying either, but ive never seen him pray ever when he scores, and the body language it sure looked like it
November 20th, 2010 at 4:39 PM ^
I'm not a religious man but would never make fun of someone like that
November 20th, 2010 at 4:51 PM ^
of the 4 TDs he had... did he really have 4 TDs today AAARGH!
November 20th, 2010 at 3:46 PM ^
Is it possible he, too, was just praying?
I thought Watt's shoe throw was far douchier.
November 20th, 2010 at 3:47 PM ^
Definitely saw the same thing, immediately called him plenty of douchebag names.
November 20th, 2010 at 3:47 PM ^
No, but I did see Gerg rubbing a wolverine stuffed animal in players faces after our fumble recovery. That was kinda strange/awesome.
November 20th, 2010 at 3:50 PM ^
November 20th, 2010 at 3:52 PM ^
definitely not kidding. It was right as they were going to commercial break after the fumble recovery by Mouton
November 20th, 2010 at 3:58 PM ^
Your're shitting me right?? if Greg seriously rubbed a stuffed animal wolverine in his face then I definitely want him gone. Is that motivation or something. FUCK I wish i Dvrd this game si i could see it.
November 20th, 2010 at 7:56 PM ^
Really, I think this is freaking hilarious and is my only reason for wanting GERG to stay around. I mean, just, holy balls. That's funny.
November 20th, 2010 at 3:53 PM ^
It was the WR fumble in the 3rd Quarter. Greg Robinson was furiously rubbing a stuffed animal on Kenny Demens' face. Kenny looked like he thought it was pretty awkward.
November 20th, 2010 at 4:16 PM ^
Otherwise, it doesn't belong on the sidelines.
November 20th, 2010 at 4:33 PM ^
What. the. hell.
That's something an insane person does.
November 20th, 2010 at 8:20 PM ^
Couldn't see this from the stands, but wow, just wow.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:40 AM ^
That's crazy!
November 21st, 2010 at 10:32 AM ^
This one will go down in the history books of all-time epic Michigan meme-dom.
November 20th, 2010 at 3:48 PM ^
But even if he did, it wasn't as bad as when (if I recall correctly) Mario Bailey mocked the Heisman pose when Michigan lost to Washington in the '92 Rose Bowl...
November 20th, 2010 at 5:51 PM ^
When we played hockey last year at Camp Randall and their guy scored and did the heisman pose?
When I saw this, I thought "Wow what a cock." Then I thought, "Well maybe he's just doing it cause he's on a football field, that's actually kind of funny if he isn't mocking." Then I realized he probably knew what he was doing and thought "Wow, what a cock."
November 20th, 2010 at 6:14 PM ^
That sucked, i was sitting in that end zone that day. The Wheatley Rose Bowl the next year was sweet revenge though.
November 20th, 2010 at 3:52 PM ^
Quit stretching for things to hate Wisconsin for. They came in here and kicked our ass by 3 TD's, hate them for that. Enough already of being pussies, oh he mocked Denard, oh he threw Denard's shoe, my god just stop it.
November 20th, 2010 at 3:54 PM ^
so Bilema does have family values? Set me straight, yo.
November 20th, 2010 at 3:57 PM ^
Quit stretching for things to complain about. Bielema is a douche and Watt throwing a shoe was classless. Switch26 thought he saw something and wants to know if the rest of us saw it too.
November 20th, 2010 at 4:00 PM ^
oh you mean if he kneeled in the endzone...because ummm, you will never know if it was legitimate or a mock...so who the hell cares.
November 20th, 2010 at 6:04 PM ^
dude give it up, the bigger reason why i thought he was mocking cause it looked like ball was laughing through his face mask when he did it..
November 20th, 2010 at 7:41 PM ^
Doesnt D-Rob have just as many rushing yrd of all three wis backs put together. Let him idolize...
November 20th, 2010 at 4:03 PM ^
I agree that whining about certain things is counter-productive, but I don't remember the last time a player removed a guy's show and then threw it into the backfield. That is a douche move. The Denard taunt might not have been anything, but the shoe throw was definitely an ass thing to do, and might have been a delay-of-game penalty.
November 20th, 2010 at 8:22 PM ^
I was complaining loudly that the clock was still running while we had to deal with that shti.
November 20th, 2010 at 4:00 PM ^
The dude slashed our defense like it wasn't there, he can do whatever the hell he wants when he scores. Maybe if the D had some pride/proper coaching they could have gotten back at him for the "mocking" but no.
November 20th, 2010 at 4:17 PM ^
November 20th, 2010 at 5:18 PM ^
Otherwise they would have shanked that Ball and said, "Now you can't play no more, Wisconsin."
November 20th, 2010 at 6:06 PM ^
Our Defense doesn't have pride? shut the hell up.. why don't you go tell that to mike martin and when he buries you in your grave you can cry some more
November 20th, 2010 at 6:17 PM ^
November 20th, 2010 at 4:00 PM ^
He never did it for his other TD runs, so that is why I think he was mocking Denard. I thought right away that was a pretty d-bag move. Also the stuffed animal thing was strange, hopefully it was just a towel and Gerg was being helpful.
November 20th, 2010 at 4:01 PM ^
you're going to have to be a little more specific
November 20th, 2010 at 4:13 PM ^
Is that Im purchasing a furry, stuffed wolverine this week and rubbing it in people's faces when they do awesome things. Did you just help that old lady across the street? FACE RUB! Did you just rescue that kitty from a burning house? FACE RUB! Did you just mistreat a hoe because she was wearing an tOSU shirt? FAAAACE RUB!
November 20th, 2010 at 7:32 PM ^
I was watching Gerg, and I kid you not there was not a UM player/coach or staff member within 15 yards of him. He was just standing there alone.
dead man walking/standing if I ever saw one.
November 20th, 2010 at 7:33 PM ^
Denard's just that much of a trend setter...
November 20th, 2010 at 7:33 PM ^
Funny how ppl get on here and argue w each other like ur gonna kick each others ass when u see each other... lmao
November 20th, 2010 at 8:25 PM ^
Where did you see that?
November 20th, 2010 at 7:46 PM ^
I want to see our players carry themselves w/ a bit of swagger and pride. I want them to run the score up. I want them to strike Heisman poses. I want them to rip off shoes and not hand them back to the player. Basically, I guess I want UM to treat opposing teams like Wiscy treated us today.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:12 AM ^
I want swagger and pride, but we're Michigan and I want to win (as big as possible) with class and sportsmanship. When players act like jackasses, it makes us all look bad.
Personally, I don't think any amount of taunting can top scoring a TD. Score the TD, hand the ball to the ref, because you've just said it all.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:28 AM ^
Wiscy did act w/ class. All I saw was the wiscy player tossing the show to the ground. He was probably amused, but I didn't read anything particularly negative in it. Also don't really buy the mock prayer stuff; too many players do that these days. Nothing I saw today paints Wiscy as a dirty team. Think folks are offended because they were better than us and acted like they knew they were a better football team. I'm a Michigan fan. We lose to a better team, I congratulate them. Go Blue!
November 20th, 2010 at 8:09 PM ^
I find this hard to believe. Denard isn't the first guy to pray after scoring a TD.
