He’s 14 in the 10th grade and graduates next year?   Where I come from most boys who are elite athletes are 14 in the seventh grade.  I don’t think parents in Michigan have caught on to the redshirt or double redshirt idea like down south

Let's see if this triggers some musical chairs. Another five star RB, Gavin Sawchuk, is also CB'ed to Oklahoma. If Brown takes his spot, that may give Michigan the opening it needs.

You need at least 1 RB every cycle. We have a senior maybe (Haskins) a soph, maybe (Corum) and 2 freshman. We need a little depth. You should never skip a cycle on any position. 1 injury and 1 transfer, and your depth is shot.

Its the one position that an incoming freshman can thrive.   We currently have four in Haskins, Corum, Edwards, Dunlap.  We took two this cycle, we should skip one year and use it elsewhere.  The depth scenario you mention, can be covered the next cycle.  This isn't OL where they have to be seasoned.

I wonder if Gavin Sawchuk looks something like this.

In the interests of full disclosure, this horrific pic of Terry Sawchuk was actually the product of a makeup artist for a LIFE magazine article. While Sawchuk had plenty of scars, he never actually looked like this. Much to my disappointment.

OP: This is somewhat interesting, but we could completely fill the board with posts like this for weeks. What's special about this one? Michigan has a hat on the table? That's not a very high bar. Toss in "100% crystal ball" and the post is even shakier.

To those who might say "Don't click on it" I'd say you don't get it. More interesting posts get crowded out when mostly useless ones are added.

I think the underlying interest in this, which the OP should have included, is how this might affect Gavin Sawchuk's recruitment, our top RB target. Hart seems to have us in a good position for Sawchuk. He's CB'd to Oklahoma right now so Brown taking that spot might help us.

I've seen other message boards post threads along the lines of "2022 Recruiting Update" or "Transfer Portal Update". Might be a good way to consolidate a lot of these interesting tidbits.

Would work better if the mgoboard would push messages to the top based on most recent response vs. when the thread was started but it still might work well here.

I have to agree with this. My post is dumb and a waste of time for the board.

I didn't even know about the other RB. I just went on Twitter, started the MGoBoard post, and noticed the 247 crystal balls after I went to link the 247 page.

My apologies. I suck.

Maybe the hat on the table, if it's in the camera's view, is good advertising for Michigan?  What with being 'considered' by a 5-star, and all?

Marketing!!

Otherwise, no...

Michigan has plenty of RB's right now. Michigan needs DL and LB's more than anything other than the fact that you always need to have additional OL.

I agree... we got two this year... we got Corum last year... And Haskins still has a few years of eligibility... I say get a DT or OT.  Never can have too many... we have enough interior guards.
