And the Cass Tech connection continues.
January 31st, 2012 at 6:42 PM ^
Connection. Honestly im sick of small corners getting beat up top. If va tech can do it, anyone can.. Im sure hes 5'9" . Im 5 10 and im short as hell.. Dont give me "fluid hips" that has shit to do with jump balls. I played this game for 9 years and short corners work.. But not in the changing landscape ala dgb, megatron etc. remember when the vikings played the lions.. Who was drafted just for megatron type players? Hint: he was not under 6'. I cant stand that, mixed with 8 yd bubbles every down.. Press coverage man up and do it.. If you cant Perfrom onto the next one no excuses... Its about the team period.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:33 PM ^
Hope we can pick him up he looks solid! Would be big addition!
January 31st, 2012 at 3:33 PM ^
Also, 2013 CB Ryan White of Kentucky just got offered as well. He's teammates with WR James Quick and DE Jason Hatcher whom we've also already offered.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:34 PM ^
That has to be the best team in Kentucky, no?
January 31st, 2012 at 3:35 PM ^
I believe its the same team that won the High School NC last year. I could be wrong but I think they finished #1 in the nation..
January 31st, 2012 at 3:42 PM ^
Yeah they were the best in the nation last year ahead of don bosco.
January 31st, 2012 at 5:02 PM ^
Yeah, they could be our Holy Trinity.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:37 PM ^
January 31st, 2012 at 3:33 PM ^
5'8 corner from Cass Tech, why does that sound so familiar?
January 31st, 2012 at 3:34 PM ^
He's 5'11''
January 31st, 2012 at 3:36 PM ^
If you check out http://mgoblog.com/diaries/introducing-jourdan-lewis you will see that Scout is the only ones listing him that low. Most seem to think in the range of 5'10 to 6'. It would be nice to have a cover corner at 6'.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:39 PM ^
I thought I remembered him being taller than that. Must just be an auto fill feature in scouts database when they see Cass Tech CB.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:58 PM ^
They'll have to fix that, and the feature that lists OSU as the leader for every Glenville kid.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:33 PM ^
Congrats, Jourdan!
He'd be a great early addition to the 2013 class.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:34 PM ^
If I remember correctly, isn't Jourdan Lewis somewhat of a high 4* type of talent?
January 31st, 2012 at 3:38 PM ^
I'm not entirely sure. I expected you to know...Haven't you been following recruiting pretty closely lately?
January 31st, 2012 at 3:58 PM ^
This is actually the best time to follow 2013 recruiting. All of the prospects are relatively unknown, so the recruiting sites cannot cause an idiotic frenzy by writing some made up article about them.
January 31st, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
Allen Treiu intimated that Lewis was a high-3 to low-4 star guy based on his junior year.
And yes, agreed....the past month is full of as much made up BS about recruits as real information.
January 31st, 2012 at 4:21 PM ^
Treiu is whacked if he thinks this kid is a 3*. Some folks think he will be the best of all the Cass Tech corners.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:50 PM ^
To 247 he is, but he is a 90 which makes him a low 4 star (89 is the highest 3 star). I don't think the other have released their 2013 rankings yet. Rivls have only released the select few early 5 stars.

He is ranked the #22 CB in the country right now and #6 in Michigan.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:55 PM ^
Just a quick clarification of the post above, he is #6 recruit in the state but #22 CB recruit in the country.
January 31st, 2012 at 4:11 PM ^
Isn't that what I said?
January 31st, 2012 at 4:47 PM ^
But the first time I read it I thought that you meant #6 CB in the state, and I thought "wow there must be a serious CB class in Michigan". I just thought the wording could be confusing thats all.
January 31st, 2012 at 5:19 PM ^
My apologies, I can see how that could be confusing.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:38 PM ^
Start working on that Hello post Ace.
January 31st, 2012 at 3:41 PM ^
Scout= 5'8
ESPN= 5'9
247= 5'10
Rivals= 5'11
Is this some kind of a sick joke? The kid grew an inch each time I checked out a new site.
January 31st, 2012 at 4:06 PM ^
by the time he enrolls.
January 31st, 2012 at 4:24 PM ^
Hell, Lewis will be 6'3" by the time Chuck finishes his search.
January 31st, 2012 at 4:36 PM ^
Well good thing you didn't check in the reverse order, he would be like 5' by now
January 31st, 2012 at 5:37 PM ^
just keep checking more sites until we have a 6'2" lockdown corner!
January 31st, 2012 at 7:27 PM ^
Be careful. That's how Tacopants was created. They just wouldn't stop looking at his profile on Scout and Rivals. If only they knew...
January 31st, 2012 at 3:39 PM ^
class of 2013
January 31st, 2012 at 3:46 PM ^
I remember watching the Cass tech - de la sale game and came away very impressed with this kid. Great speed and ball skills. Like Richardson the biggest thing with him will be getting stronger and puting on weight. Really hoping he commits
January 31st, 2012 at 3:54 PM ^
We also just offered Ryan White, CB from Louisville. He should be highly rated according to Dallas Jackson at Rivals.
January 31st, 2012 at 4:14 PM ^
I was just looking through the list of the top CB for 2013 and came across this awesome name.
Which school will likely get Will Likely's commitment?
January 31st, 2012 at 5:38 PM ^
*will likeley*: I, Will Likely, select.... MICHIGAN!
*allen trieu*: "Will Likely names a leader...
January 31st, 2012 at 4:14 PM ^
Haha not 10 minutes after that was tweeted Shane started to recruit him via Twitter.
January 31st, 2012 at 4:19 PM ^
Atta boy. After all the influence he had in the 2012 class, we can expect a stellar 13 class to follow. This kid is the best early commit I can remember.
January 31st, 2012 at 7:29 PM ^
Shane just may become my favorite human being of all time. I've said this before, but I wouldn't want any other player to be the leader of our team 2 or 3 years down the road.
January 31st, 2012 at 4:35 PM ^
I am very happy that Hoke and Co. feel so comfortable with where we stand with our 2012 class that they're spending the majority of their time before NSD looking at 2013 kids, not scrambling to fill this class.
Very reassuring.
January 31st, 2012 at 4:48 PM ^
I couldn't find a profile of him but I assume he's 5'8", right?
Edit: nevmind, he's listed 5'11" (which I'm sure is exaggerated by at least 2 inches)
January 31st, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
Good for him and glad that the coaches are making sure to get in early on the Cass Tech guys.
May the connection continue for a long time to come.
January 31st, 2012 at 5:59 PM ^
i played against him this year, the kid is a real athlete and a monster... he will be a great one in college
January 31st, 2012 at 6:05 PM ^
"Search your heart, Jourdan- you know it to be Blue."
January 31st, 2012 at 8:17 PM ^
but the #1 high school team in the nation per USA Today and Riv als.
