WTF quote from the article....
"eating the fruits of a blue-chip recruit"
What fruit would that be, blueberries is too obvious, maybe mangoes, oh wait, I bet it is pomegranates! Great fruit, little messy to peel and eat.

We know it's definitely NOT strawberries.
February 9th, 2021 at 7:22 PM ^
....maybe cherries???
/I'll show myself out now

“A school that’s playing high-level football. Like, always in the good bowl games or the playoffs,” he said. “I also want to go somewhere that I’ll get a high-level degree that is going to help me later in life.”
By that criteria Tennessee, Rutgers ,BC, South Carolina, and Florida St will obviously get cut. Maybe WVU too?

Hopefully, the Citrus and Outback bowls are good bowl games.

"a high-level degree that is going to help me later in life."
Kid knows how to work UM fans.

Probably means he’ll end up at Alabama.

Rutgers legacy who lives minutes from campus? I know where my crystal ball pick is going.
February 9th, 2021 at 6:14 PM ^
Yeah, I heard they fenced the garden after all. Definitely going there.
February 9th, 2021 at 7:45 PM ^
Well in case it only has to be a small fence.

Schiano did send a bunch of DBs to the NFL the last time he coached Rutgers, so he might actually have a good recruiting pitch.

He can also pitch that he’s not an asshole anymore*
*allegedly

Who was offered the Michigan job....

“Clemson definitely stood out a lot ... They also play seven to eight DB’s on the field at one time, depending on the scheme."
Interesting, I don't remember seeing that Clemson had gone to a 3 lineman, 0 LB, 8DB set.
February 9th, 2021 at 7:06 PM ^
If it’s third and thirty that makes sense.
February 10th, 2021 at 9:06 AM ^
or if you're playing the Chiefs!

We laugh, and the point is funny. But to be serious, it looks like Michigan is heading in that direction - the same direction the Ravens went a couple years ago. Not specifically 7-8 'natural' DB's, but probably 4-6 DB's and a few hybrid types that are bigger but still quick enough to drop into coverage playing LB spots on the field.

It’s looking like a stellar and potentially crowded DB class. We have two 4 stars already. Then you have Gould, Johnson, Rowser, Tatum.
We need the depth but this could get interesting. I’m sure I’m missing some names.

Myles Pollard is another name to watch. High interest in Michigan and former teammate of Junior Colson. The staff has also reached out to Jaden Mangham who Sam Webb thinks may be better on defense as well

“Clemson, Penn State Rutgers, Michigan, USC and Notre Dame are recruiting me the hardest right now,” he said. “I’m going to cut my list down to a top six this month and decide sometime before August.”
Based on the fact that he mentioned exactly six schools in the first sentence, I'd wager that he just named his top-6.

Nice Title OP....
