2014 QB Prospect - Deshone Kizer
Hadn't seen this posted anywhere on the board yet, but per Rivals we're after a 2014 QB out of Toledo Central Catholic, Deshone Kizer. He's 6'4" and 205, apparently has a very strong and relatively developed arm, and is rather fast.
Dunno if embed will work for a Silverlight file, so here's a linky.

Interesting. I wonder if this means that Denard is rubbing off on Al more than Al is rubbing off on Denard...?

Well, I just read that the wrong way.

but your sick mind processed it the wrong way! :0)

"touching kids", it's natural to read more into it....

Considering Al Borges had Cade McNown and Jason Campbell in past jobs, I don't know that the idea of an athletic quarterback is any kind of epiphany for him.

Easy, that kind of behavior got Penn St. in trouble.

I can't HANDLE this shit. I finally had a decent grasp of 2012 recruiting, and the 2013 kids started to pop up. Now we haven't even SIGNED the 2012 kids, and the 2014 kids are popping up. Hell, a 2015 QB came with Logan Tuley-Tillman last week.
ONE CLASS AT A TIME. SINGLE FILE. NO RUNNING IN THE HALLS.
/Old man rant.

I think QB is the only position where I can bring myself to care about recruiting for players in their freshman/sophomore years. Just too important.
January 13th, 2012 at 12:01 PM ^
I won't bother telling you about the class of 2023 kid that Greg Mattison visited last week...
January 13th, 2012 at 1:05 PM ^
He's the fastest kid on the playground. He needs to go blue!
January 13th, 2012 at 1:18 PM ^
I don't think he'll qualify. He's flunking art class...keeps eating the paste.

And is primed to be a 2029 recruit. Deal with my inevitable breakdown of his strengths (everything) and weaknesses (nothing), which is forthcoming, BISB.

I call BS. His 40 time is terrible, and his lack of object permanance makes him remarkably susceptible to play action. Also, stubby legs.
(Congratulations, BTW)

just kicked my wife's rib over dinner. thoughts? leads? camp info?

Does he like brunette girls?
January 13th, 2012 at 11:12 PM ^
He's behind my kid ( due in Feb.) that's alot of ground to make up in a short amount of time (18 years). Good luck.

that it is two by two.

Michigan hasn't offered him. They've just inquired.

Here is a photo of a young recruit for punter. Notice the hand placement, concentration and excellent leg extension.

When does recruitment truly begin?
January 13th, 2012 at 1:44 PM ^
I hear that you can't pull an offer to a recruit after the second trimester...
January 13th, 2012 at 1:47 PM ^
I thought it was "you can't pull an offer from a recruit after the second semester of their sophomore year."
Sincerely,
Nick Saban.

Recruitment begins at 40.
...oh wait. That's life.

I believe in God, and the only thing that scares me is Kizer Soze.
January 13th, 2012 at 12:28 PM ^
Beat me to it. Great movie. Great nickname potential for this recruit.
January 13th, 2012 at 12:27 PM ^
Did he visit?
January 13th, 2012 at 12:37 PM ^
he's gonna be a buckeye
January 13th, 2012 at 12:40 PM ^
Great legs, needs a lot of work when it comes to decision making and QB fundamentals that lead to higher accuracy passing the ball. But he's 15, so I won't pass too much judgment til I see his junior year film.
January 13th, 2012 at 12:54 PM ^
My son is 11, he's got a strong accurate arm and he gets the game. Also, he's going to be around 6'3". Where do we sign him up?
January 13th, 2012 at 1:08 PM ^
Georgia Tech. That place is a quarterback factory.

Weak. Lane Kiffin was there when the parents figured out it was going to be a boy.
January 13th, 2012 at 1:46 PM ^
Still weak.
Antonio Cromartie was there for the conception.
January 13th, 2012 at 1:50 PM ^
just breathed a deep, deep sigh of relief. Probably Shawn Kemp, too.

Still can't Compete with Bill McCartney's daughter lol I'm still waiting for the McCartney clan to all return to Colorado. The kids have to be old enough for college football or close to it by now.

His athleticism was one of the things Borges said stood out about him when Michigan was looking for a QB late in last year's recruiting period.

Quick, has a great arm, is only a Sophmore....I'll check back in 24 months from now and hopefully he has enrolled early in AA.

his dad derek and i played hoops and roomed together at bgsu way back when...saw his dad saturday as our youngest kids played eachother....he broke loose and said michigan, ohio (state) and nd were pursuing him the hardest as of now with a slight lean to michigan...way to early to tell but at least good to hear - solid kid, great family.
