story is dead on

this is in fact very true. we sell and install synthetic turf playing surfaces and always have a large booth there with our michigan sales rep....he saw the whole thing and just laughed....hes an "ohio" fan, which is why i gave him michigan and indy territories :)

cool story bro ;)

cool story bro ;)

excellent athlete and great kid

his dad derek and i played hoops and roomed together at bgsu way back when...saw his dad saturday as our youngest kids played eachother....he broke loose and said michigan, ohio (state) and nd were pursuing him the hardest as of now with a slight lean to michigan...way to early to tell but at least good to hear - solid kid, great family.

did tyou have to send scan

did tyou have to send scan every time you made a transaction...im looking for a blackberry friendly, easy to use site - thus being able to piss my money away faster and in a more reactionary fashion

do the deposit/withdrawl

do the deposit/withdrawl immediately upon win/loss?  place i used back in mid 2000's made you wait a week...

Shame on you for not assuming

Shame on you for not assuming we would be playing on Friday """""""""''AA

read through the post...they play on friday no matter what..who knows what sat will bring..but i hate the illinois matchup fwiw

weather....

latest weather models saying ann arbor could get drilled with snow saturday and sunday....wonder what their contingency is for snow ?

i want to bring the kids up

i want to bring the kids up tonight to watch game... can tix be bought at door if i dont have any? much scalping go on outside?  worthless side note - i played at bg and we came to crisler in late 80's' - i'll never forget how damn physical loy vaught was - solid as hell !

thanks a ton guys - get ready

thanks a ton guys - get ready for the "nard dog"

topic changed - nice looking

topic changed - nice looking out...we are also taking a jukebox, so if you see the idiots with the rowe ami blaring 80's music and trying to figure out the tv setup, you've found us - stop by and have a drink

i'm with you guys - 3 of my 4

i'm with you guys - 3 of my 4 kids insist on watching ctk every night before bed...then it spins off into youtube mich football videos, etc...45 mins later we finally go to bed...nice to see everyone again, i missed being on here all summer !

cluck cluck i am feeling very

cluck cluck i am feeling very sleepy...can you tell me how to upload a pic? im also having a bitch of a time with my camera getting them off the card...my computer wont cooperate...

that would be awesome...i

that would be awesome...i cant imagine the size and speed at that level of play...

i second that motion...hook

i second that motion...hook us up

nothing negative towards him

nothing negative towards him at all, i just felt the same laid back aura coming from the d...the offense on the other hand was go go go, vocal and seemed pretty "hyped"...gibson is a riot...saw him chew out one of the hired officials that run around and blow the whistle for them at practice about an interference call - he gets after it...

wow how could i

wow how could i forget...hopkins was great...he's a bull, runs hard, stays low and keeps feet moving - he's gonna be a good one...we are soooo deep in the backfield its silly...mike martin is a brick shithouse - i noticed his mom and dad there wearing all of their "martin" gear proudly...omameh looked fast on the line, at least one of the faster ones for being such a big kid...

no pun intended here but you guys are gonna love cox (lol) - he put on a show...he is a classic punishing runner..he deals it out quite nicely and he broke some "spring tackles" quite a few times...he has great balance and never says die...

truthfully the best part was feeling like i was part of something so historic for even a few hours...got some pics with heisman's at schembechler, etc...i was pretty pumped about being able to share my experience with you guys as well - wish you all could have went...oddly enough we might be going back on tuesday to get some more line drills for our hs program...

heres another good one...a coach told us we could go look at weight room (which is just as sweet as hell - full area with smooothie bar, juice bars, everything you could think of nutritional as well as a shitload of state of tha art racks)..anyways, we overhear barwis talking to a recruit and we just keep walking around when a grad ass comes in and says "hi guys, how are you doing? your going to have to go back out that direction", and points at glick...a nice way of saying get the fuck out...2 minutes later the rest of our staff goes through the whole place like it was theirs and the guy just does nothing...saw barwis's sand pit in the "old" facility (which anyone would dream of having mind you)...

no idea on the points

no idea on the points deal...i never knew this would go crazy like this...i'm just happy to be able to bring some positive news about coach r and the kids and how impressed i was with unreal work ethic...can i pay my mortgage with mgopoints ? cant believe i haven't been blasted yet - brian told me it might happen - i was bracing for it...

yep its funny i'm keep trying

yep its funny i'm keep trying to figure out what i saw since it was just a mass of speed and intensity (if that makes sense)...i'm gonna say that ON THAT DAY FOR THAT THREE HOURS (see i have caps button), denard was just "spot on", i.e. with the zone read, passing, and on the run (and also - he did in fact have his cleats tied, no shit..thats all my 7 year old wanted to get out of my trip)and yes i love tate and have no preference as long as we win games, so by no means am i lobbying...heres another good one that just wobbled from my alzheimers riddled head of mush...i saw some power i with coger at fullback...which was pretty much to show i to the defense, not anything they are trying...defense kept giving up that short fucking out pattern that just killed us all year...we were joking the whole day that we were going to "casually" pull rr over and say "hey why don't you try jamming the wideouts once in a blue moon"? they keep giving that damn 10 yard cushion(again i dont know shit so i'm just trying to be a bit funny and i know its not working - never has)...will campbell looked like a giant in the middle of what looked like a modified 3-3-5(yes they ran 4-3 and other base d's as well)...he was blowing up the backup centers (mealer and not sure who else) and the guards but kept getting chewed for being too high...im telling you i don't like see zero defensive ends - just looked too easy to get the edge and go vs 3-3-5...i disliked gergs intensity - i would like to see blood and guts, mean, foam at the mouth "woodley" type mentality on d and i didnt get that AT ALL...i'll try to dredge up some more stuff later - sorry so vague but again there is a reason they are closed practices and thank goodness im too ignorant to even pick out a "secret" anyways, nor would i do that to our wolverines if i did see one...

section 1 - the guy

section 1 - the guy announcing looked in late 50's and was as big as a house...i saw a punt almost hit ceiling...acoustics were awesome (all that noise wasn't hard on ears at all)didnt even think to look at injured guys, nor would i comment on something that sensitive..it was funny, rr said something like "we make them wear red - i hate red; no one is allowed to wear read anything around here, but the hurt guys) molk had a smile on his face which in turn made me smile thinking about sept 2010 with him back out on field...

i'll tell you rr's about as nice a guy and as well spoken as they come...the guys i played college hoops for were arrogant dicks..i almost expect that out of every coach that i talk to anymore nowadays...

rr has them playing super hard and fast..nobody walks at all and everyone is at full attention at all times - i would say, at least from the looks of things, these kids are as "all in" as any group he's had...i would however love to be able to compare this to another spring practice somewhere else to get a shear size and speed comparison....

regurgitating this from guys

regurgitating this from guys i was standing near - denard basically had 6 weeks last year to learn rr's system, thus the shotgun and run right (as all of you know)...they were commenting on how he was taking a moment to read the d, make the appropriate decision, not just taking off and going like mad...

fyi - didn't see much if any of a vertical passing game...ton of 15 yard outs and screen passes...but they looked fast as hell in "space" once they got the ball...

i hope this helps, i wish i could have been more of an analyst than a fan...

thanks guys...i walked around

thanks guys...i walked around working hard not to look like a fing kid in a candy store...it is such high intensity, high tempo that it's hard to focus on one thing...we really watched the qbs for a good hour - we stood right behind stonum when the three qbs threw some quick outs to him - those guys throw harder than f#@k - much harder than i thought...denard threw the tightest, hardest sprial of the three with gardner second and tate third...tate seems to throw the best when he's scrambling...there were some points where denard was told to put some touch on ball...gardner is very vocal...funny thing happened - a recruit who knew him walked up and gardner ripped him for not having his pants pulled up far enough, or something of the sort - i was about 15 yards away, but he said something like "we don't do that shit here"...the kid is trying hard to lead and thats nice to see, because some of the raw skills we saw out of him thurs were, lets say - making me feel good about things to come...i did see cox just ring rohs bell in the michigan drill...roh did a 360 after getting up, wobbled and got right back in - what a tough ass kid...

had one other comical tidbit.. the 5 centers did some after practice shotgun snapping to tackles...one of the frosh tackles said "i can do that", got in the drill and just made a fool of himself - molk busted his ass for quite a bit as did the line coaches...

from what i saw and heard

from what i saw and heard thursday they have quite a few restrictions on how they tackle...coach gibson turned around and told our group they were not allowed to "ground tackle" at all this spring...you tell me because i have no idea what that meant, yet i kept hearing it...one of the sophomores laid the wood to one of the wide outs and got his ass chewed by gerg for doing it(and this is no shit - gerg told him "you stand there and think about what you did"...thats all he said - while the other d-coords came unglued on this kid)..anyways, denard looked great thursday...part of me(and i'm no one) thinks rr is gonna have his "pat white" pretty soon...and denard got a majority of snaps as well - no idea exactly why...

i wanted to add other tidbits

i wanted to add other tidbits as they came to me...kenny demens, #25, can flat out hit...he stuck out by far over the last two hours of contact as being the type of "foam at the mouth" type defensive maniac we need...fred jackson's son had some nice grabs; stonum had a number of drops, but had some great grabs in the 2 minute drill...qb center exchange got a little ugly(especially with gardner..maybe 12 to 15 fumbled snaps...combo of his focus on some and center on other instances)he did some things inately that left many of us coaches thinking and saying there is little doubt he is the future...rr had a first class melt down at one point on one of the centers...molk sat on the stationary bike the whole time, along with vincent smith and a few others peddling their asses off...roh looked bigger and faster - just works his tail off the entire time - his work ethic was fun to watch - he never takes a play off...i wish i didn't have the memory of an old fu_k, or i would have soaked in more...the ambien is killing my memory

lol, and yes i thought his

lol, and yes i thought his football skills looked sharper than any of the other two qbs - by far...and that seemed to be the buzz...but getting back to his package - "unreal" lmao

denards complete package

denards complete package looked unreal...and i mean, tate and gardner have just want rich rod loves..competition, and plenty of it...arm was dead on, zone read looked great, and did i mention he has decent speed? lol

saw barwis eating a baby, but

saw barwis eating a baby, but he did so neatly and wasn't very vocal while masticating, which, in my opinion shows manners

he was at state for

he was at state for 88,89,90,91 seasons, back when you stayed four years...

easy now, smitty was the

easy now, smitty was the point guard on my aau team...and i can tell you even he would not even agree that he's ahead of glen rice...ss is about as nice a guy as you'll ever meet and the best point guard i've ever played with...but better then rice? not so fast

also heard barwis talking to

also heard barwis talking to a young man in the weight room - i was ready to run through a wall after just a few seconds...and to piggyback another topic i saw on here, i saw brock mealer lifting his feet up as he sat in his wheelchair with a pretty happy look on his face-great to see...as another poster put it so perfectly, i'm surprised rich rod even lets him hang around, being he(rr) is such a horrible guy with such shitty values... lol

saw mealer tonight and he

saw mealer tonight and he looked great...what a story - saw him lifting his legs etc - what a brave young man

just got back from

just got back from practice...quite a fascinating experience(can't get into details for two main reasons 1. i don't want to ruin the chance to go back up for another workout 2. i really couldn't analyze football if they paid me too)...few observations...denard looked fantastic, gardner had a hell of a time handling snaps but looks like he has one helluva of a future...tate did not have a great day overall...denard looks to have a far better handle on things with a year under his belt...i was amazed at the sheer number of throwing reps the qbs got in 2.5 hours...shaw and cox ran the ball well and blocked very well...o line looks bigger and faster for sure...defense was hard to judge, looks like they were running quite a few guys in and out...rr was kind enough to come over and speak with our staff for 5 minutes after they broke; pretty general stuff but was about as nice a guy as you will meet...trust me, they had one helluva handle on time as far as getting kids out right at 6pm...at 6:05 another horn sounded and rr chuckled and said something to the effect of he had better get out, they are watching me...rr also said with a smile that this was the first time they were in glick for indoor practice and something like "hell they built it, we figured we might as well use it" ...they do have strict rules: no cell phones, cameras, etc...got to meet rr's wife and also saw dave brandon there watching from a distance - overall he doesn't look like the happiest guy i've ever seen(brandon), but not sure looking happy was in his contract...they had an announcer driving around on a golf cart playing various songs, (fight song, etc) and oddly he would announce a play by play of a drill randomly about every 10 minutes...dinardo and the rest of the big ten channel crew was there taking notes and getting ready to do a show on the spring workouts...before you blast me, i know this is vague, but i played the role of "casual observer", talking to people most of the 3 hours and just soaking in a pretty neat experience...i will say his practices are high intensity/high tempo and he chewed some serious ass a few times as well...did notice "gerg" seems to take the "nice guy", almost "grandpa-like" approach with defensive players...i would love to see more fire on that side of ball, but i don't know shit anyways:)

sorry, i know this is a pretty weak, scattered synopsis, but there was so much to take in it was tough to get detailed...i told brian i would email him some more details but i never had a chance to really get anything of any real subtance - my apologies in advance...

the one thing we did comment on was when they started to scrimmage, how would one really get excited if: defense does well, you panic about the offense...if offense chews up the d, well, we panic even more about the defense...(campbell and roh looked very solid)

gibbons (sp?) looked great kicking field goals as well - nailed some 30+ yarders with plenty of room to spare...punters...hmm... well, you can tell zoltan isn't there any more, no real "boomers" that i saw...

got a nice tour of glick and schembechler - first class facilities !

wow he composes just like

wow he composes just like stupid ole' me...

EDIT FROM ABOVE JUST TO COVER

EDIT FROM ABOVE JUST TO COVER MY ASS: i'm sure they don't want any specific info leaked out...i'm just going as a casual observer and don't want to piss anyone off, nor would i think of jeoprodizing our coaches relationship with coach rod...hoping like hell i can get some pics though, which if allowed, i will share on here(i plan on asking a grad ass when i get there if i can snap some pics - hope its not the same guy who was supposed to be filling out the practice logs...) the "upshot" of this may be i have a college hoops backround so i probably couldn't analyze any specifics if they hit me right in the face - you guys know far more football than i ever will - but i will be representing "mgoboard" proudly !

will do...our head fb coach

will do...our head fb coach has been friends with him since tulane days - we run a version of the spread option, so he gets with rr every year to pick his brain...he was up there on monday and said "they look faster than hell" and "much faster than last year" (he attended a few practices last year as well) our coach has been here 26 years and won a large number of games - i really consider his word pretty solid...geuss we will see...

lol-you guys are

lol-you guys are great...gotta go "i'm pressed for time" and need to get to "pee-wee" practice...whatever the case, i get a close up view of things, really no big deal

because i hate my laptop and

because i hate my laptop and its f'ed up keys...thought it was neat...and didn't know there was other spring games at michigan...be as pissy as you want - please neg me, i've never been negged yet :)

having been married for ten years and 4 great children later...i've already given it up..let's win some nc's...

as far as banging my business partner's wife - thats too fun, i refuse to cease (just kidding - easy now...i know he reads this...)

to answer question(s) above,

to answer question(s) above, the coach taking me is a teacher at the high school i work at (yes i have two jobs, one installing turf in summer and teaching in the "off-season") he said he did in fact see some (still) cameras...i'm told this small group of coaches he lets in were the group he's been friends with for ages, and the first group of guys he called when he came to aa...said it's "all inclusive" as far as lunch with coaches and also to watch barwis lift with them after lunch...mentioned that barwis served babies to increase players protein intake as well...but if there is a acceptable way to snap pics, i will have them posted that eve...i'm pretty excited to get that close to things...

i own a company that

i own a company that engineers and builds athletic fields, both synthetic and natural surfaces...and will be bidding on the new "carpet" for the big house to be installed this summer...

and if i ever make enough money i will by a keyboard with a caplock/shift button on it...

I'm on the wait list, but I'm

I'm on the wait list, but I'm hoping this gentleman's seat will keep me tided(is this a word?)over until I get my own. Again I was just tickled to get 4 together. He's had them for decades and just said he's too old to go anymore. Had nice things to say about RR which was nice to hear as well. I hear alot of the old guard bitch and it drives me nuts. I understand they want to win; we all do. Now I have to get my liver in condition and find a way to get my wife disinterested in going.

the 7th is just and idiot who

the 7th is just and idiot who knows nothing about football in general. we also just don't like him.

downright fucking hilarious

Glad to hear. I have never

Glad to hear. I have never sat up that high. Had to chuckle on the sun comments - I'm a tall ugly redhead, should be beat red by the time November swings around.

As far as acoustics, I had a weird experience during this years OSU game. Sat on home side 45 yard line, row 32. Besides listening to everyone bitch about standing, I literally could not hear the band or students from that angle, which stunk. Its an added plus to hear our band and see the students antics - makes for a great day. The temptation "you suck" thing is a riot. First time my 10 and 7 year olds heard that they looked at me like they were in trouble...quite a laugh.

looks like barwis worked on

looks like barwis worked on tates pipes a bit too...

i would pay psd

its an expense - i'll write it off...must play the "tax game" in business...
