Kentucky vs. Wisconsin
against us?
the world is a cruel fucking miserable place sometimes.
about the flop.
Kaminsky sold it big time, which is classic Wisconsin. But a hand to the face is a hand to the face.
that Wisconsin is just a little bit tougher than us, and that's making a difference.
A lot of that is just our youth vs. their experience.
Yeah, a little bit tougher D inside. Not a ton, but just enough. If the Refs don't foul them out, they'll be able to go toe to toe with Kentucy and will win.
lots of foul trouble all around in this game.
*Sigh*
What could have been.
I'll give it to Kentucky. They bend the rules and make the refs call them out, which the refs are hesitant to do. Very reminiscent of Narduzzi defense. Good strategy.
is gross
Kentucky's offensive gameplan should not be rewarded in college basketball. Let's drive the lane, throw up a wild shot that could get a foul call, have all 5 guys crash the boards and hope our superior athleticism get us put backs and foul calls.
basketball is notoriously cruel to the less athletic.
I know I ran into that wall eventually.
that move by Randle was insane.
good freaking game.
This game is tracking a lot like ours against Kentucky. Hold on to your hat.
it was so damaging to us that we went in at 0-0 at half. Our kids battled, but that just sucked.
We played such a good first half and then they just went turbo in the last few minutes before the break.
in that half.
he is well-schooled.
They're all over Kentucky's knob. I guess it's fair with Kentucky being up by 14.
No, wait. They're down 4?
not always perfect, but that was hysterical.
Man, if our game against Kentucky was called this tightly...
Not saying they were biased or anything, but this is a different style of officiating that would have helped us a ton.
The Harrison twins really aren't that good. #5 is can shoot a little bit, but they both drive to the line lower their shoulders and throw up bullshit. The refs must actually called fouls during the regular season.
Wisky is going to lose if Jackson plays the entire hald like he did that last possession.
Young - not just a shooter...
I thought Kaminsky would need a monster game for Wiscy to win, but he would not since he would finally face multiple NBA type athletes. So considering his performance Wiscy should be happy. However for those hoping for early entree it's not so good as he is getting exposed.
Wisconsin is still going to win this game.
when cousins mate it creates an extra 12 teeth at birth. So even when they lose 18 it looks ok.
the definitions of offensive and defensive goaltending.
Wow this is looking like our game vs UK
if you want 7 of the top 20 players to go to UK every year, root for UK.
That Lee guy - who had 9 pts all year until our game, was the 19th overall kid in the 2012 class just to put things in perspective how ridiculous that roster is.
and definitely frustrating.
Swap Cauley-Stein and that kid in our game and I think (in a totally unsupported by much of anything) we win.
Ryan is very lucky that they just went to the under 16 timeout.
He needs to remind them that they will definitely lose if they try to out Kentucky Kentucky which they've been doing the last few trips. They have to stay the course. They may lose anyway, but they need to get back in control.
Wiscy shooting 37.5% to UK 54.5% - both at 33-35% on 3 pts. UK outrebounding by 10. FT shots equal Turnovers equal. On paper surprising the game is so close....only Wiscy perfect from the line is saving them while UK around 60%.
In most of Wiscy's losses, they have been attacked up the middle which is KY's strength.
The best defense against Kentucky is to not have your big men contest Kentucky guards when they drive. When the post defense goes for a block it leaves the Kentucky big men open to crash the boards, which they do with aplomb. Our problem was our guards continuously got beat off the dribble, which is what the Badgers are experiencing this half.
I feel like people are losing sight of that.
Our kids went toe to toe.
