I would like to think that the 2010 opener will be the official launch of the ninja death-star that RR has been building (in addition to the obvious showcase of the renovated stadium). Nice to hear that the AD is going after a legit opponent to do so.

Here's the list of opponents that have not filled Sept. 4 and have not filled all non-conf games for next year. Arkansas Georgia Miss. St. Ok. St. Oregon St. Pitt Syracuse Wazzou While I'd love to see Georgia, I put my money on Ok. St.

I don't see much reason for it to be OK State. If we're going to go on the road to one of these schools, it has to be Georgia (big matchup), Pitt (recruiting hot bed), or Syracuse (been there before, some decent players come out of there (Mike Hart), "east coast" exposure). In my opinion at least...

I attended a birthday party for a friend over the weekend and met a couple guys who had coached for Oklahoma State and followed Les to LSU. A "hey, this guys a Michigan fan" comment by my not so sober friend prompted a 10 minute discussion about football, Les, Michigan etc. (For the record, LSU coaches think M will bounce back this year and be in National Championship contention by 2010-2011.) The rumor they heard was that Oklahoma State is in negotiations with Michigan to play a home and home, possibly as soon as 2010.

I am visiting family here in VA - they are UVA season ticket holders. According to them there is a lot of talk around UVA circles that they will likely play UM for the 2010 opener. But all could very easily be BS, the same internet-amplified rumors we deal with over here all the time.

If this statement attributed to RR by the Daily is correct, then nobody's more surprised than me that Bill Martin's given up a home date. And it's about time, too.

I don't think any one else has mentioned it, but why not Arkansas? All the Ryan Mallet subplots would be amazing. 10 bucks say he'll say something about family values eroding away under RR, but it would be compelling nonetheless.

Anyone have their pulse on whats going on with these teams? I would like to play a relatively high profile matchup. Preferably against someone who finishes in the top 25 High profile in this day and age is a team with a stat stuffer kinda guy like Jahvid Best or Dez Bryant that ESPN can hype in comercials. Will those guys be on their respective teams in 2010? I doubt Bryant sticks around for his senior season given the hype he is getting. Best is kinda small so he might stick around for his senior year. But I really dont know. Mallett would definitely be at Arkansas Isnt virginia going to have one of their DBs playing QB? No thanks to Virginia. Pitts entire offense was mccoy and hes in the NFL now... Pitt would still be interesting though. The teams I want to play are (in order) 1) CAL with Best 2) Arkansas 3) Pitt
