is absolutely classic. That should replace the picture of Denard's helmet on the banner.

That was my first thought, too! That shot of BWC celebrating with the student section is awesome. Great job, as always!

Call this what you will, but I, to this day, do not think it's appropriate or sensitive to tag or mention "brunette girls". Sorry to troll or derail the conversation.

Yes, and unfortunately, it looks like people have selective memory.

What are you insinuating here? It's a pretty harmless joke.

He was arreted for rape his freshman year. No charges were pressed, presumably for a reason, but I assume that is what he was refering to.

OK . . . but if no charges were pressed, should we hold it over his head forever? (If you're hinting that you think the athletic department "made it go away," I really don't think that's how it works these days.)

Don't mean to imply that. I assume the charges were dropped for lack of evidence. I was tryign to explain the reference, not to agree with it.
PS -- awesome pictures, especially, as said, BWC

No, i'm not suggesting that at all... just using common sense to think that given the situation, he (as should we) should be sensitive to the incident. I'm not getting into the accusation business.
But, if you think that coverups no longer happen, you're naive. Law enforcement may not be involved in cover ups, but cases do get dropped. Again, not saying it happened or happens here. I hope it doesn't.

I'm curious: do you always feel this way when someone is arrested but then all the charges are dropped? Or do Michigan football players warrant some extra level of suspicion even if the courts disagree?
The "think of brunette girls" thing is obviously a silly joke intended to loosen the kid up before his field goal in the bowl game. There is no reason to draw anything beyond that. Honestly, if you read something sinister into that, I think that may say more about you than about the poster.

The courts didn't agree nor did it disagree... it didn't get that far.... many cases like this don't. Like I said, not commenting on the issue itself, just commenting on how insensitive the comments were. I'm going to drop it, because apparently no one else agrees- which baffles me. I'm also baffled that MGoBlog sells t-shirts referencing it. But, I guess that's like, my opinion then, man.
Also, I'd love to reverse the question: What would be your reaction had this happened to an MSU player?
August 24th, 2018 at 6:55 AM ^
Yes. What we have learned in recent years is that the courts are irrelevant. Think about Payne and Appling. Public opinion is what is important

I like the picture of Jordan Kovacs returning the interception -- the look on his face is one of focus and steely determination.

hugging Mattison is unreal. The emotion, the passion, the love. I'll admit it made me a little dusty.

...to accompany the incredible win. What a game. What a day. What a win.
Thanks for sharing.

Those pictures were all great, many were outstanding. The picture of the ball coming into Gallon is awesome. As noted above, the BWC picture is incredibe.

Those are awesome. I love the one where Denard's shoe has just come off. It's just hanging there in the air! LOL

The photos themselves were good, but what makes them GREAT are the moments you caught. The Kovacs INT, Lewan/Mattison, Hawthorn getting chewed out, Denard's shoe mid air, the Denard to Gallon almost-game-winning-TD. Really enjoyed the set, it captured the essance of the game. Job well done, keep up the good work.
