Muppets All Alone For Threeeeeeeee Comment Count

It was as Columbus as it gets, and some breathtaking basketball all the way, as Ohio State’s designs on a championship got slapped down like a top-five John Cooper team.

And you can't have one without the other…

Michigan sits atop Big Ten standings as lonely one of their first-half perimeter shooters.

When every “close” call goes one way it’s hard to overlook. How many “and 1’s” did they get today and foul calls that led to direct points (not bonus related)? That’s what I’m referring to. Give Livers some free throws on his drive in the first half, Dickinson an and 1 at the end of the half, take the shove off 3 away from Washington and this game is a little less close and that’s just 3 50/50 calls.

Bang me muppets style! I wondered early how 2 players can carry an offense vs this squad for 40 minutes. Washington scored 30 points, id take Eli all day every day!

second half perimeter shots were just as open, only they didn't fall.  worked out just dandy anway.

hello to the muppets.  about time for this team after a month since the last posting.

I agree. It’s like 51-49 for me with the @ Wisky win with the 23 day layoff and 12 point halftime deficit. Seemed like officiating wasn’t a factor in the Wisky game and against a better opponent like today, that’s why I agree with you——so far.

The original Muppet Show has just arrived on Disney Plus, btw.

What a great performance. BTW Eli Brooks played well and had a couple of crucial moments despite certain trollzen on this site declaring that he was only a mid-major caliber player a couple years ago. Good for him.

Was watching w/ my kid and we both said the same about that Brown oreb oreb oreb posession. Brian's excellent piece on the passion of Brown and Smith proved prescient today. Honestly not sure Eli (who I mistakenly thought was soft the last few years) wasn't our player of the game. I generally have Craig Ross level paranoia about  getting screwed by refs; great to see I was right this time based on the "happy vitriol" here!!  GO EFFEN BLUE!

Eli got fouled numerous times with no call and that was in just like a 5 minute span. Washington went up and put his shoulder through Eli's face and was awarded with an and-1. That should be no-call. Some refs would even call that offensive. Then the blatant push off that resulted in another nice 3 points for Washington. Then on the offensive end someone on Ohio State just knocked him to the deck with no-call and Juwan was pleading with the ref to call something. Luckily that possession ended in a bucket for Michigan, iirc.

Dude is tough and he's one of my favorites. Incredibly important piece of this team.

Eli got two tough and timely buckets at the end of each half when we really needed them, in addition to all the defensive quarterbacking he did that won’t show up on the stats sheet.  It really is amaizeng how some people on the forums enjoy trashing our players for what they aren’t rather then celebrating them for what they are.
