that's a tough break for anyone, but expectedly an athlete committed to his team. my rights are with Derrick, and I hope and envision a full recovery. Come back better then ever next year!

bad luck can be minimized when fewer hits are taken.

We've got a yippie QB with the football equivalent of PTSD, another QB concussed with a high ankle sprain, a RB out for the season, and another gimpy RB.

There's a common thread here.

I was discussing this with a friend while watching the game on Saturday. Over the past three years I can't think of a single position group that hasn't has multiple starters suffer catastrophic injuries at some point. I get that it's football and injuries happen, but I'd like to see some data comparing Hoke's tenure vs the league because my eyes say UM has been very very unlucky here.

MgoBlue has a stat chart on Green but not Smitty, why?  All starters should have stat charts.  Sucks that Green's out and hope a speedy recovery, but I've preferred Smith runs vs. Green - just a personal point of view, but they both lack break-away speed.  Call it the "eye test" we've adopted at various times here to judge team performance when stats tell otherwise.

Agree that Brandon's brought some serious jinx to this program.  Water Polo brought on top notch coaching I've heard, so we're all set there. Perhaps we'll offset the revenue drop there.

The name connotates badassery at a level far exceeding that of this year's football team.

I see a lot of Steven Seagal movie title references made between now and whenever the Penn State game becomes unwinnable.

Yes, it's sarcasm. Remember the previous post of Brian's suggestion? I lean that way anyways.

And to be clear to the serious internet types, I feel terrible for Mr. Green. Tragic.

No need to lash out, I'm on your side.

Not to be idiotic and think we would be better after losing best RB- but- Maybe this will force us more into option roles, as we have left only smaller fast RB not a pound up the middle RB's now.

DG seems better suited to spread offense, or at least a pistol/shot gun option role. (Eliminate options he must deal with and bring back his running ability, and he may be far more effective.)

Getting smaller RB's into mix will force OC to run more speed options...this could help our OL as well, as they can power rush enmass instead of losing 1 on 1 match ups all day...

Or I've gone so crazy watching this team this year I've decided to forgo all logic and blindly grasp at any possible positive outcome...

I hope he heals quickly and completely and comes back stronger next year. (Or this year if it's possible but it just doesn't seem that way.)

Nacho cheese sauce on a pizza that already has cheese just seems like a recipe for gastrointestinal distress. Wrong kind of WOW experience.

Maybe it would work better with something like a honey mustard sauce? Sort of a spicy/sweet element to cut through all the grease and salt.
