Hockey pet peeve: "when a teammate tips a puck in on you, which is exactly how my first collegiate goal against happened. Thanks, Copper."

Fuck you, refs, for the abomination you visited upon us. We darn near overcame it anyway. Great respect for this team.

Re: dnak438 diary
Check out population trends, and you may adjust your theory. General speaking people are leaving the midwest for the South (except Florida) and to a much smaller degree the Northeast, extreme West. Michigan, for example, is one of VERY few states who have not gained in population. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_population_growth_rate
Would it not be more accurate just to say "most people are headed to the Southeast, and they have higher birth rates anyway". And unlike the Northeast and West, the Southern States = FOOTBAWWWW without many other sports to spread attention.

Although I would love to see it happen, not sure I can predict a Wings win. Detroit been a little fortunate the last few games - Howard standing on his head, a few Hawks losing their cool, and getting just a crease of space for a goal without getting any unlucky goals coming on the other end.
But then again, if you flip the coin to look at it from the optimist perspective: Both teams have taken on the personality of their coaches. Hawks - talented, a little wild, capable and a little emotionally raw at times. But absolutely flying around the rink and going after the wings after every whistle; but a little whiny at the wrong times.
Redwings (again like their coach), totally under control at all times. No whining whatsoever, no acknowledgement of anything but trying to get the job done. All else is unimportant. And unflinchingly surgical when any opening shows. When is the last time you heard no discussion AT ALL over the refs/calls from a fairly badly refereed series from one team??? I mean, in ANY playoffs of any sport? Love these Wings. Don't know if they have the talent to win it all, but they are certainly playing like champions.

EPIC week of work. Brian, Ace, Seth, but mostly Brian - have a beer tonight because you've earned it. I challenge ANYONE to find another team/blog that gets this kind of preview treatement. What's a better word for EPIC? Grand? Mythological? I know.
The writing was GRITTY.

.....not too much respect. Even if you're just reloading on defense, they still lost an epic amount of talent to the NFL. What we are seeing above is not what will be faced on Saturday night (and a thank youuuuuu for that). Plus, they have not seen a QB with Denard's speed before either. Don't know if I have ever seen a QB with Denard's speed before.
That being said, yeah, will be tough to win this one.
Agree with previous commenter on content this week. EPIC. Brian and Co probably don't realize that they have as much impact on Michigan's fandom as Brandon. I would argue this site has more influence on UM's fandom than any other source. But that's just me. Look how few MGoPoints I have. I know nothing!!!!

Normally I refresh this site way too often looking for more content during the day / week / weekend. But now I get something new every refresh. LOVE IT.
Work efficiency? Down. Co-worker frustration at me? Up. GiveaSh*t factor? Down. Wooooo? Way up.
Thanks Brian and Team.

If you are going to have 4 ACC teams -- Florida State, Miami, Georgia Tech, and maybe Clemson. Clemson has lost to GT four times in a row, and with the tutoring fiasco.....You may be the only blog not to rank Georgia Tech.
