Semi OT: Steven Kampfer vs. Max Pacioretty Fight
I don't know if anyone saw this fight, but does anybody know possibly why Steven Kampfer and Max Pacioretty both went at it? I mean they were teammates, so you think they wouldn't go after each other. Maybe because Max left after one year? Or just hockey being hockey?

Hockey being hockey, and I love it.

There was even a video of Wayne Primeau vs Keith Primeau on Youtube, but it was taken down. There are no friends or brothers wearing opponents' uniforms in hockey until after the game.

Bruins-Habs dude. If you don't understand that, you don't understand.
182 penalty minutes in the game. Just fucking ridiculous.

I understand the rivalry....I was just wondering why Kampfer and Max went at it

I didn't see the fight, but there were a 182 PIM combined between the two teams. There were two line brawls. There was a goalie fight. I didn't catch that part of the game, but I would just anticipate that they were matched against each other. It was just one of those games where everyone fought with everyone. The Bruins finished the game with 5 players on their bench. The Habs bring the worst out of any team. They're the cuntiest team in professional sports. Becoming a Hab is like inheriting a disease or a plague. It brings the worst out of every player. For me, it's perfectly understandable that Kampfer would go at it with Pacioretty.

Woah dude. You really don't like Les Habitants.

Being from Boston and a Bruins fan, I have witnessed the cuntiness of the Habs first hand. Beyond the diving and general faux tough guy attitudes of recent Habs (I know Komisarek went to UM, but the Habs completely corrupted my opinion of him), the Habs provided my worst sports memory (in terms of when I was in attendance) back in 2003. It's beyond the rivalry though. Ask fans of other teams and they'll have a dislike for the toilet seats as well. May be Western Conference fans aren't exposed to it as much...

Komisarek sucks now along with the rest of the Leafs' D. He's another in a decade-long line of bad free-agent signings.

the things I would do to have Patches still playing here this year...

Goalie fights are hilariously pathetic. It's like watching two people in those inflatable sumo suits go after each other.

This goalie fight was extremely pathetic, courtesy of both goalies' hearts not being in it. They said as much after the game.

The Bruins sat their #2 overall pick from last year Tyler Seguin as a healthy scratch bec ause they knew this was gonna be a war. Great game. Old time hockey. I didn't see Kampfer's fight but there was plenty of other action to take in. The goalie fight sucked though.
BrownJuggernaut you got it right. The Habs bring out the worst in players.

you have to do in hockey, period... kampfer has to do whatever it takes if he doesn't want to get sent back down by the bruins, so if that means fighting his former college teammate he is going to do it...

Hockey players fight because it's fun. The only person who disagrees is Gary Bettman.

has to be the worst commish in the country. That's saying a lot considering that Bud Selig, David Stern and Roger Goodell are not good commish. Bud Selig needs to grow a pair. Stern needs to stop being stupid. Goodell needs to stop being a dictator-like and do stupid stuff that are unncessary.

two former michigan players fighting each other + this happened in a pro league = not OT whatsoever
