ray lewis...without the murder of course.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:17 AM ^
"Everyone murders" Edit: so this is weird. I replied to someone on the iPhone, but his comment doesn't show up above and now it looks like I replied to no one and look like a schmuck!
January 19th, 2011 at 11:52 AM ^
I thought you were a schmuck loooooong before this
January 19th, 2011 at 2:56 PM ^
I have to say I'm slightly disappointed. When I read your title I was sure I was going to see Peter singing the bird is the word. You can't say "apparently you have not heard" w/o singing that song. I may have to neg u.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:41 AM ^
Wonderful news. With him and Desmond Morgan, I like the linebacker's in this class a lot.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:39 AM ^
I'll say it again - that kid was going to be great before the coaching picks. Now? Whooooooo!
Can't wait to see that kid lock down the middle of the field. Mad skills with the best coaches around, playing at his dream school. Talk about the planets aligning.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:41 AM ^
How many to go?
January 19th, 2011 at 10:44 AM ^
January 19th, 2011 at 10:45 AM ^
Thanks for the article. I took Tom's word for it though when he said the kid was singing the Victors to him.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:32 AM ^
Tom's word is gospel!
January 19th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
If there were more Lucy Liu's on North Campus, I would have made a lot more trips up there...
January 19th, 2011 at 10:45 AM ^
I am excited to see Jones in the winged helmet. He is going to tear it up on the field. Having Mattison as DC definitely doesn't hurt either.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:46 AM ^
Mr. Ward, Mr. Lewis...etc. Seems like this kid is not just a stud LB, but also a fine young man.
Go Blue!
January 19th, 2011 at 10:48 AM ^
Two days in a row of good news now, let's keep it going though signing day.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:52 AM ^
This is great to hear. Whats even better is Obi Ezah wont be back!
January 19th, 2011 at 10:56 AM ^
Stay classy Mr Gutz...
January 19th, 2011 at 10:56 AM ^
Lay off Obi. The kid gave 5 years of his life to UM. It's not an easy gig
January 19th, 2011 at 11:04 AM ^
Assuming your excited he got his degree
January 19th, 2011 at 11:06 AM ^
Screw you. Obi did more for Michigan than you, or I, ever did.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:56 AM ^
who goes by UpInThemGutz40. Were there really 39 people before you with this bright idea?
January 19th, 2011 at 1:32 PM ^
No doubt, Obi Ezeh was not the most talented linebacker ever to take the field at Michigan. Nevertheless, he stuck it out through five of the most tumultuous years in the history of Michigan football. More than can be said for other players in recent memory. He put in countless hours in the training room. He showed up every week and gave his best on the football field. He kept his nose clean and he'll graduate with a degree from Michigan. We won't be retiring his number in the future, but his commitment to Michigan deserves your respect, not your snide remarks.
Your comment above makes you a tool. The comment coupled with the fact that your username is "UpInThemGutz" makes you a fuckin' tool.

Hopefully this will be start of some great momentum down the stretch.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:01 AM ^
keep em coming
January 19th, 2011 at 11:04 AM ^
Great recruit for the D!
January 19th, 2011 at 11:07 AM ^
Good news, but its hard to get excited about getting a commitment from a guy who was already part of our recruiting class.

Sign of the times I guess. I can't wait until we can get back to normal a recruiting climate.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:19 AM ^
I often wonder if you could be any more depressing. And then you post something new which is more depressing then the last post.
January 19th, 2011 at 12:20 PM ^
I'm sorry I hurt your feelings, princess.

Normally I'd ask you to elaborate and provide examples of posts that your delicate sensibilities found depressing, but I suspect that you're the type who likes to take shots at people and then run away, so I won't.
January 19th, 2011 at 12:27 PM ^
Maybe it's a case of selective recall, but have you ever posted a positive opinion on Rich Rod's performance? You seemed to be one of the loudest posters calling for his head on a spike.
January 19th, 2011 at 12:42 PM ^
I think you're just making shit up now.

I WAS vehemently opposed to posters telling other posters not to discuss or create CC threads, but that was because I'm an advocate of unrestricted speech (especially on, um, a DISCUSSION FORUM) and was irrespective of any feelings about the coach.

That said, if anyone here has had nagative things to say about the old coaching staff during the past 3 years, it was probably a reflection on the on-field product and not the poster's personality.

Either way, you're kind of a douche.
January 19th, 2011 at 1:28 PM ^
and TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!!!
...
Sorry, i thought it was appropriate. Carry on.

Kellen will be punishing Big Ten teams for the next four years
January 19th, 2011 at 11:42 AM ^
Good speed and pursuit. Nice angles. Plays downhill and seems to play bigger than his numbers would suggest.
Solid GPA and a class young man.
Can't wait to see David Harris 2.0 in a Michigan uniform this fall.

Can't wait to see David Harris 2.0 in a Michigan uniform this fall.
That's been my dream for years. Oh, that it would finally come to fruition...
January 19th, 2011 at 12:42 PM ^
As much as this is good news b/c I'm excited about Kellen's potential, I honestly hope he doesn't see the field for at least 2 years. This would require the guys ahead of him to step up.
RBs and CBs can step in as true freshman. LBs ... not so much.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:43 AM ^
I'm excited with Kellen Jones and Desmond Morgan coming in at the LB spot. This is gonna be a good duo at that position.
January 19th, 2011 at 1:10 PM ^
the idea of jones, ryan and morgan at LB. smart football players that like to hit.
January 19th, 2011 at 2:20 PM ^
Woot Woot such good news.
January 19th, 2011 at 3:32 PM ^
MICHIGAN's been known for their hardcore defense and hardcore linebackers. Him and Morgan (if they put the work ethic into the program) will be great.
