Kris Frost - Officially to Auburn
January 19th, 2011 at 10:48 AM ^
Confirmed? Confirmed?....NOTHING IS CONFIRMED TILL WE DECIDED IT IS.
Or until he signs
January 19th, 2011 at 1:15 PM ^
Was it confirmed when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
January 19th, 2011 at 10:48 AM ^
That article is from yesterday, so nothing too new. But I still think Hoke has a chance to get Frost to rethink his decision. Being a Michigan fan all his life has to count for something, doesn't it? Of course he could have just said that and not meant it.

January 19th, 2011 at 11:53 AM ^
he has already had his in home and has taken his official visit. If they want to commit a major violation while on probation that is up to them.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:48 AM ^
On the brightside maybe this gets Lucien back into the fold.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:50 AM ^
Why would this get Lucien in the fold? We want him for DB, he wants to be a WR, not sure how Frost affects that in any way...
January 19th, 2011 at 10:54 AM ^
I agree. It's not like we said - Lucien we like you at WR, we just don't have room. But we didn't say that.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:55 AM ^
He may be thinking that if we add Frost that it will take a defensive position and open things up for Lucien to come back on offense...it makes zero sense...since Lucien would be a DB and Frost a LB but I'll go with it on this ULTRA positive Wednesday.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:56 AM ^
What I was thinking is that the coaches were confident on Frost wanting to come to Mich, Frost only want Mich if he could try WR first. They prioritized Frost over Lucien, but wanted to cover their bases and offered Lucien on D. With Frost confirmed gone, maybe they swing their opinions a bit..........
It's an admitted stretch, but it's the only way I can explain the whole Lucien scenario without wanting to break out my Scotch.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:58 AM ^
Break out the scotch my friend. Break out the scotch....
January 19th, 2011 at 11:04 AM ^
Will do. It's my last bottle of Blue though, so hopefully my reluctance to break it ou is understandable.

I will now go drink a glass of scotch in your honor even though I think it taste like wood chips and asshole.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:49 AM ^
for Hoke and GM to try and recruit him back here. If he really wanted to play WR though I doubt we would have any chance at all.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:50 AM ^
General Motors?

January 19th, 2011 at 10:52 AM ^
After the buyout I heard they are looking to get back to their roots. They have good national recognition as well which could really help with recruitng. Plus...FREE CARS!
January 19th, 2011 at 10:53 AM ^
Seriously? He means Gary Moeller.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:58 AM ^
I thought he was saying Gay Male
like in those personal ads
GM seeking BBBM for S&M and possibly RP.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:06 AM ^
I get to be the Butler this time!
/weird
January 19th, 2011 at 11:29 AM ^
I believe that if you replied to this ad you would have to be the Butt-ler...you know what I'm saying.
/gross
January 19th, 2011 at 11:09 AM ^
C'mon?! It obviously stands for GENERAL MANAGER.

January 19th, 2011 at 10:50 AM ^
I think one newly hired DC may have something to say about this.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:52 AM ^
I hope his Dad enjoys all that money, can't wait for my kid to go to Auburn, Daddy's gonna get a new car!
January 19th, 2011 at 10:52 AM ^
Thanks for the old news, but its not over until National Signing Day. Before you post it tomorrow, we just hired Greg Mattison the Baltimore Ravens Defensive Coordinator.
I am willing to bet that Kris Frost has heard of the hire.
Mattison is also going straight to the recruiting trail instead of heading to Ann Arbor, per Sam Webb.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:52 AM ^
Nothing is confirmed util that LOI is faxed.
January 19th, 2011 at 10:59 AM ^
News.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:00 AM ^
Honest question: does Mattison recruit well? I know he is a great DC and teacher of defense, but he looks to be quite old and older guys seem to be less interested in recruiting. Also, is he bringing in his own position coaches? Are they young and heavy into recruiting? I feel like we need to know these things before we get super excited about anything yet.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:03 AM ^
Yeah, I wouldn't expect you to get excited about any of this anyway.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:06 AM ^
I mean look at Joe "Weekend at Bernies" Paterno they strap the wireless radio headset on him and make him look alive and people just want to go there. Hopefully his name and what he's done will get Def. recruits high on michigan again.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:07 AM ^
He enjoys recruiting, he loves Ann Arbor and UM. He's passionate about bringing kids into the program. We will see better recruiting results on the DL and LB positions without a doubt.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:18 AM ^
I can haz safety?
January 19th, 2011 at 11:10 AM ^
Someone can confirm this as well. I heard on Sam Webb podcast that Mattison likes to recruit and is a great recruiter. This may explain why his resume is mainly in college. He was unavailable to be interviewed because he is already on the road recrutiing.
I hope Countess and Cooper.
HD, come back. As a RR supporter, and one that likes Hoke, we need you to come back. Supporting Hoke is not turning on RR. I will support RR wherever he goes.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:11 AM ^
I have read that he is a good recruiter but that came from former players.
Dude, I personally have enjoyed your rants the last week or so. I am a spread guy and a RR guy and have felt pretty shitty the whole way this thing has gone down. I think a few too many people have the "Hoke" colored glasses on and can't see how much better of a position we would be in currently with RR still in the fold.
I do think GM is a great hire but I still have reservations at our staffs age and our new offense...but all we can do is hope for the best.
Also I am finding NAIA team to root for to help pass the time durring the transition period.
January 19th, 2011 at 2:13 PM ^
GO Trine University Thunder!
January 19th, 2011 at 11:21 AM ^
Is he really a "great" dc? His resume is pretty decent but "great" might be a bit of a stretch.
January 19th, 2011 at 1:18 PM ^
"pretty decent"
January 19th, 2011 at 2:17 PM ^
Give me some stats? Teams records? Defense rank? Pretty decent is a loose term and great is thrown around way too much.
January 19th, 2011 at 2:43 PM ^
Someone has done this. Early in his career his defenses were in the 40-50 national rank, then vastly improved during his time in Florida and Baltimore. I don't see the point in re-posting research that has be done and you can find if you are interested

January 19th, 2011 at 11:10 AM ^
I wonder what Auburn is paying him....err his dad I mean.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:20 AM ^
Which guys are going to be among the 15 who get cut to trim the team from the 100 they sign up to the 85 they are allowed to play?
This is a question any guy joining an SEC team needs to think about.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:20 AM ^
...FIRE!!!
January 19th, 2011 at 11:33 AM ^
ok I'll guess
Things that a guy with an STD says.

January 19th, 2011 at 11:23 AM ^
forget these kids, I was an RR fan but some of these kids he recruited are not worth talking about..Frost, Crawford etc...we need kids with charector, these kids are all about making news and staying in the limelight...its become a joke...you dont here the school in ohio blogging about 3 stars.
January 19th, 2011 at 11:33 AM ^
Yes, you are a tool.
