Somewhat Significant Postgame Dee Hart/HaHa Quotes *Updated*
After the Championship game today, reporters (predictably) swarmed the DP players for news. Here are some interesting tweets/reports that followed.
Justin Wells (247sports.com)
Clinton-Dix says there is an "85 percent" chance he and RB teammate Dee Hart end up at the same college. #Bama #Gators#Michigan
#Bama DB commit Ha'sean Clinton-Dix says he will "definitely" visit the #Gatorsofficially. No date has been set yet, however.
Heralded Dr. Phillips RB D. Hart, a Michigan commit, says he will officially visit the #Gators in January
Spoke with Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips APB Dee Hart. He is still committed to#Michigan. Will visit #Florida. Still plans to EE.
MOAR: 247sports article that says pretty much the same thing.

which is it? good god.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:13 PM ^
That made no sense to me either
December 18th, 2010 at 11:15 PM ^
I wasn't sure either but I think its enroll early. After there were some rumors that he might not be enrolling early now, but I guess he put those rumors to rest and IS enrolling early.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:16 PM ^
He also says he's going to visit Florida
....
Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but if he's enrolling early, he wouldn't be able to official in January to Florida.

Playing games with the media again? Maybe?

I think more and more HS kids are reading into they hype that surrounds them and this is no different!! Ha Ha and Dee might be having fun with everyone.....Alabama....Florida....Michigan....a secret dark horse??? They know blogs like this across the football world live and die on their every waiver in commitment.... Everyone needs to take a breath and CHILL!! This is like a card game....you hope for the best cards/players but you have to play with the hand you are dealt...hell look at the last recruiting classes and where they finished: 1 USC 8-5.... 2 Florida 3 Texas
December 19th, 2010 at 1:22 AM ^
Sorry dropped iPhone.... Florida 7-5....Texas under .500!!! Please please everyone think to our LONG standing motto.... Those who stay WILL be champions!!! We will take who we get and turn them into a great blue winning machine!! Look a DRob NO ONE recruited him and now are all kicking themselves!! Let's all just relax since one player does not a championship team make!! God bless Michigan and coach RR!!

December 19th, 2010 at 12:25 PM ^
Numerous teams wanted him as a DB or slot reciever. KSU, UCF and us were primarily after DRob as a starting QB. Yes i misspoke when i said no one recruited him...but only a few teams put in a HUGE effort to get him...and thank god we won that battle!!
December 19th, 2010 at 8:08 AM ^
Not many people recruited Robinson as a QUARTERBACK. That doesn't mean he wasn't very heavily recruited though. A guy with an offer list that includes Michigan, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, and Ohio State is a big time recruit, and Robinson was.
December 19th, 2010 at 8:57 AM ^
Wow, had a good post then blew it up with the " nobody recruited DRob " line.
December 19th, 2010 at 5:52 AM ^
January is going to be a hectic month for him, I guess.
December 19th, 2010 at 9:03 AM ^
Now we have to Ignore Keith's comment's, and that was the most positive for Michigan.

I'd be more worried about Florida. Rumor is Muschamp has been going really hard after Hart/HaHa, and he's starting to get his message across. I wouldn't say HaHa is as solid as he was before.
December 19th, 2010 at 9:00 AM ^
Why? not as solid, because he sez he is going to take a visit to Florida? He came up here did'nt he? You have some inside info?
December 19th, 2010 at 9:15 AM ^
A month or so ago, HaHa was really gung-ho about Bama. He might have fielded calls from other coaches, but he was a walking billboard for Bama and he let everyone know it. Lately, he's been talking about how close he's gotten to the new UF staff, how he could see himself elsewhere, etc.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:13 PM ^
There will will not be very much time( if any) for Dee to visit UF and EE.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:15 PM ^
Oh god, who's this EE and are you saying they have a serious shot!?
December 18th, 2010 at 11:33 PM ^
He has potential. He is a two time Letter of the Day winner for the All Sesame Street Team.

Isnt there a dead period in recruiting coming up soon? How the hell is he planning on visiting the Gators and EE? This Dee kid is a great talent and I hope he comes to UM, but he sure is sketchy at times.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:19 PM ^
..But the dead period refers to contact between the coaches and players off-campus. If he goes onto Florida's campus, everything's fair game.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:18 PM ^
he told one guy he's still committed to Michigan. That's the only definitive statement, the rest is maybes

I like Dee Hart as an athlete, and I can't comment on him as a person, but we all have to admit that he has a habit of being a bit of a joker and jerking around the fanbases of schools he is interested in/committed to. How do we know he and HaHa didn't just do this for more smoke (but no fire)? I'm not coming down on the kid; just merely stating what I see as a bit of a pattern.
When it comes to recruits, I'm just going to plug my ears and go "LaLaLaLa" until after the bowl games...then I'm gonna plug just one ear, and maybe hum a little bit, at least until NSD.

December 18th, 2010 at 11:18 PM ^
So what else is new?
December 18th, 2010 at 11:18 PM ^
Either Hart or the writer doesnt understand that if he were to EE, he cant take January visits to Flordia.
Either way, I predict 37 more threads that involve Dee Hart potentially decomitting. Anyone want to take the under on that?
December 18th, 2010 at 11:24 PM ^
I'll take the under. You're saying that there would be a thread nearly every other day. Unless you start 37 threads.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:41 PM ^
There's open contact period starting January 4th. Classes at UM begin on the 5th but he doesn't have to be there the first day.

December 18th, 2010 at 11:22 PM ^
These quotes are significant. I just have no idea what they mean.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:33 PM ^
Only those who have never played on a football team can expect high school kids to speak rationally after losing the state championship game and, more significantly, playing their last game together. No surprise Ha-ha and Dee are talking about playing together (for sure) at the next level. After my last high school game I sat in the locker room for an hour refusing to shower because I didn't want to take the uniform off for the last time. I would say that tonight's remarks therefore have no bearing on reality, except that there is a long way between right now and NSD for them. Probably the best way to read their actual choice is to see where their parents are thinking.

About your avatar, I always pictured a "Michigan Man" as having a head. This no info is causing me to wonder what the phrase "He isn't a Michigan Man" really means.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:35 PM ^
Florida isn't even going to run the spread, thats what Dee has said he wants for awhile so going there would confuse me. Its definitly going to be interesting how this plays out. All we can do is wait to see RR's fate.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:44 PM ^
And though I put no stock in these things like everyone else has said, I will say one thing. It would make me really mad if Dee ended up with the Gators if we end up keeping Coach Rod. He said if RR stays, he stays. He said the only thing to sway his decision was coaching change possibilities. Well, Florida just changed coaches, my boy, which means according to your logic they should be nowhere near the picture anymore.
I try not to get worked up about rumors or even over actual news, but that would just bug me a bit.
December 19th, 2010 at 2:30 AM ^
But you know what Coach Rod has said: any kid who is still taking visits is not committed, regardless of what he says.
December 19th, 2010 at 12:03 AM ^
He really didn't get very much help from his OL or playcaller tonight. I'll bet that makes him even more ready to go to a school where he will get the ball in open space.

If I see another quote or tweet from a high school prospect this week I may scream.
Seriously though, I'm as interested in recruiting as the next person here but sometimes it drives you crazy.

The history of the football program and the quality of education is without equal - even with the W-L record over the last three years. You either want to be one of the select few men on this planet who will ever get the rare opportunity to wear the winged helmet, and touch that banner as you take the field at every home game in front of 110,000+ people at the Big House -- or you don't.
I want kids who have actually watched the last 30 + years of incredible "Wolverine Historian" YouTube football highlights - and understand what their place will be in the history of this storied program - instead of kids who have opted to veg in just as many hours of Madden Football ("Did you see that move?? Man, that was sick! Lets watch it again in sloooooowwww motion. The dexterity of my thumbs is amazing!").
This is Michigan. It is bigger than any one coach. It is bigger than any one player. It absolutely is one of the single best offers you will ever receive in the course of your lifetime. All the best to any high school player who has a scholarship offer from the University and isn't "All In for Michigan" at this point - good luck wherever you end up, until we line up against you.

I didn't get 2011 because of my distaste of everything Tebow.
I call dibs on Michigan.

I got 2009 but stopped there because I didn't want to live in a Michigan world without Mallett and MacGuffie.
