or the Urban Meyer threads?
December 8th, 2010 at 3:13 PM ^
I was thinking about starting another one. Just to make it an even amount at 4 threads. You got my back?
December 8th, 2010 at 3:14 PM ^
gotten.
December 8th, 2010 at 8:15 PM ^
Have the webmaster create some code that would upload your Bomb post everytime a thread is posted with : "RichRod+fired+leaving+staying+Urban+Meyer+Jim+Harbaugh+Dave+Brandon+etc..."
December 8th, 2010 at 3:14 PM ^
both and sadly I have contributed to both in one thread... please forgive me MgoWorld...
December 8th, 2010 at 3:28 PM ^
But now it has, thanks in large part to this thread . . .
Please see my Diary post - third down from the top - and give to MGoBlo as an apology to the MGoCommunity.

I have it on good authority - if you must know, my wife's cousin is unamployed. When he goes to the unemployment office to pick up his check, there is a guy there that is always wearing a Michigan hat. This guy claims that he knows someone who is friends with a guy that used to play for Eastern Michigan, and that guy thinks that the guy who cuts his hair also cuts the hair of . . . you guessed it, Dave Brandon's mother-in-law's sister - so, as you can see, my source is rock solid.
But I digress. My rock solid source believes that Michigan is actually going to work out a trade that would brink Urban Meyer to AA as our new Offensive Coordinator and send RR to Florida to be their new defensive coordinator and special teams coach. The reason that Florida will not be hiring RR as the head coach is that Florida has already worked out a secret deal with Jim Harbaugh to be the head coach down there.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:40 PM ^
Will there be any draft picks involved in this trade?
December 8th, 2010 at 5:09 PM ^
That Florida will throw in one of Tim Tebow's jock straps.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:41 PM ^
yes...end the speculation and the threads.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:58 PM ^
Flight tracker has a flight from DTW to gainsville tomorrow morning, and DB canceled a dentist appointment for tomorrow morning. See where i'm going with this. Wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more say no more.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:12 PM ^
Terp? I think you mean DERP.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:13 PM ^
I don't mind "Meyer to Michigan" speculation. It's implausible enough where everyone discussing it immediately loses credibility.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:22 PM ^
Miss State may not have a coach for their bowl game. Dan Mullen has to be on top of their list if Meyer does decide to step down
December 8th, 2010 at 3:30 PM ^
Colin Cowherd actually said just the other day that last year when Meyer resigned, Florida was prepared to do "whatever it took" to get Chip Kelly. He cited a "very solid source." take it fwiw, but i found it interesting. and since this whole thread is based on speculation, why not throw it out there.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:38 PM ^
Usually his solid sources terds floating in the toliet.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:44 PM ^
That sentence was an absolute mess. Your 10th grade English teacher would sh-t her pants if she read that!
December 8th, 2010 at 7:36 PM ^
December 8th, 2010 at 3:13 PM ^
right now, I cant stand that guy!!!!! I wont follow Michigan if they hire that guy!
December 8th, 2010 at 3:14 PM ^
David Brandon is terrified.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:16 PM ^
You sir, are a true fan.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:24 PM ^
Maybe he's a fan of Michigan because of the integrity of the program, which he feels will be lost under Urban Meyer.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:32 PM ^
I have no problem if he believes that, I have a problem with the idea that he won't even give a new coach the opportunity to disprove his perception of that coach before he decides not to support that coach or the team.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:15 PM ^
I understand that, but if Saban were hired as the new coach, could you stand behind him knowing what he is doing to win?
December 8th, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
December 8th, 2010 at 6:58 PM ^
To be fair, when talking about becoming a shell of our former selves, we have a coach singing John Groban and a defensive coordinator who is tickling players with a stuffed animal.
December 8th, 2010 at 7:25 PM ^
If it weren't for those damn Color HD TV's the stuffed animal incident would have never been filmed. I blame technology.
December 8th, 2010 at 8:39 PM ^
singing Josh Groban, now that would be really bad.
December 8th, 2010 at 10:03 PM ^
December 8th, 2010 at 4:26 PM ^
I may be out on a limb with this, but even if DB fired Rich Rod and named Ryan Seacrest head coach I would still love me some Michigan Football, cheer and follow them till I grow my own wings... Michigan Football is bigger than its head coach...
December 8th, 2010 at 3:35 PM ^
Well grab your couch burning materials, grow a mustache, wear a sweater vest and start rooting for Ohio State.
December 8th, 2010 at 9:08 PM ^
in good faith pos bang that statement.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:41 PM ^
I would say there is a bout a %0 this would ever happen, so you probably don't need that many exclamation points.
December 8th, 2010 at 6:04 PM ^
December 13th, 2010 at 3:47 PM ^
Your worst nightmare is one of the most successful coaches in the country coming here? Do you live in the Bizarro World?
December 8th, 2010 at 8:57 PM ^
Urban Meyer is a damn good coach. If by any chance UM could hire him, I would be ecstatic. That would be the best possible hire for Michigan.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:13 PM ^
Yeah, it makes complete sense for him to resign at FLORIDA and come to Michigan.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:14 PM ^
I completely agree but the MSM doesnt...
December 8th, 2010 at 3:16 PM ^
Some rinky dink radio station in western Michigan does not equal the MSM. No one else thinks this is even a remote possibility.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:24 PM ^
It is an ESPN station that's all I was implying
December 8th, 2010 at 3:32 PM ^
Just about every sports talk radio station in the country is either an ESPN or a FOX affiliate now. That doesn't lend any more credence to what two local guys say in a desperate attempt to stir the pot before they are replaced with three hours of "The Best of Jim Rome."
December 8th, 2010 at 3:41 PM ^
Although thinking about "The Best of Jim Rome" is only funny because I don't have to listen to it.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:46 PM ^
I also saw the speculation on some kid's facebook status...so couple that bombshell with the talk from the rinky dink radio station, and we've got ourselves something serious on our hands.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:36 PM ^
Rittenberg already has made it known, that Michigan fans feel this way, so I expect ESPN to run with that and turn into the MSM...
December 8th, 2010 at 3:19 PM ^
The MSM will talk about anything, as long as they can fill airtime and keep enough morons hanging on their every word.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:23 PM ^
yeah magnus, and it makes complete sense that he has an OUT in his florida contract for the michigan job.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:15 PM ^
I knew it wouldn't be long before this subject came up. Urban Meyer learned from RR, let's just keep our damn coach. Urban Meyer wouldn't have fared any better with UM the last few years IMO.
