Wow go away Leet. Post

Wow go away Leet. Post haste, be light on your feet..

hayes?

did I miss something about Hayes not playing?  why is he not getting mentioned in the rotation, but instead Norfleet?

I've gotta say that if that

I've gotta say that if that did it for me I'd be the luckiest man in the world...

... the gloves are so bad.

generally speaking...

generally speaking I do not see why redshirts are not utilized more...

using Talbot's example:  in one hand you have a true freshman playing special teams for a couple of games, and in the other hand a fifth-year senior fully developed and trained, which one is ultimately more valuable to the team?

I guess it is because you want to have a bit quicker of a cycle, to bring in recruits?  Perhaps administration is putting the squeeze on due to the free tuition?  I don't know.  But to me it comes down to that simple concept noted above, true freshman on special teams, or vetted trained and developed fifth year senior...

Big Ten pact

Whatever happened to the Big Ten coaches pact that they wouldn't go after other member's commits?  I ask this with a slight bit of sarcasm and seriousness.  Urban pulling over Se'von Pittman was what made me think back to that.  Obviously it is off the table, but did it ever exist to begin with?

Borges

I think Borges experience and diversity will help with Dunn and future recruits.  He talks about moving toward Man-ball, but has the brains to use the talent he has.  He is flexible.  And I think this experience with Denard will help Borges to use more of his genius playbook.  Man-ball players would be attracted to the intent and direction while Spread players would be attracted to his adaptability and creativity.  All is good, the future is bright for recruiting.

Postscript... I am an unabashed optimist.

yes rawls

yes rawls either way. talent and potential that you can't pass up...

good luck to him

i wish the kid luck wherever he goes and except for any day that we play his team.

confused by your last sentence.

source?

source? and sweet...

size/speed

without researching too heavily my guess is that if he is a potential LB candidate who happens to play WR then he is a large WR.  methinks similar to Cam Gordon's path of WR to FS, well maybe he's too big and slow for the FS role, lets move him down to a SS spot.  I'd rather see Frost just come in at one and excel at it than get bounced around Cam Gordon style.  however, if it takes he and the coaches a year or so to come to terms with where he is best suited fine.  but I don't think that will be at FS...

over

over.

unless Casteel gets poached before then.  with all the scrambling going on right now you never know...

eggs...

casteelin' ?

maybe we can-steal Casteel.

i'd still rather go with a straight 4 man front...

great get

a great get for Michigan.  a bright light in a dull dark period.  Good luck Desmond.  Go Blue!

gamesmanship

that is all...

ninja offense

we have slot ninjas.  we have Shoelace.  we will have Dee Hart.  Let's have our slot ninjas running back and forth creating misdirection, reverses, and the zone-read option between Denard and Dee Hart.  All of that together makes for a dynamic unstoppable ninja offense.

tarded

that is just tarded... and not very telling...

Ryan Seacrest

I may be out on a limb with this, but even if DB fired Rich Rod and named Ryan Seacrest head coach I would still love me some Michigan Football, cheer and follow them till I grow my own wings...  Michigan Football is bigger than its head coach...

would like to snap it to a kicker who can score...

speaking of, via MgoRecruit.blogspot we've offered a kicker out of california.

and a fantastic name he has for a kicker:  Connor Loftus

any discussion/insight on MissSt's injuries?

does anyone have insight into MissSt's injuries, who's out, how significant, who may be back in time?

it took me all night, but

it took me all night, but I have from a inside source that it is in fact not awkward...

not awkward i.m.o.

DB and RR likely see eachother dozens of times each week.  they don't need to look at eachother each time they walk by.  they are like business folk in an office who see eachother every day.  paying attention to their eye contact with each pass is... excessive pondering. imo...

home team?

I just read thru ESPN's bowl schedule and it lists "Mississippi State vs. Michigan".  Does this mean that we are the home team and will be wearing blue?  I'd prefer that by a longshot.  Anyone able to confirm one way or the other?

just win baby

the recruits will come as we chalk up more victories.  a victory in the bowl game will be huge.

a loss will likely, in my opinion, result in RR being canned (but only if Harbaugh makes the jump).

we win and the upward momentum and progress continues.  we lose and we go through another transition period and stagnation.

just win that damn bowl game and sunny days ahead...

generalizations

your generalizations about "better, same, worse" do not trump the tangible improvements in record, offensive production, team chemistry, etc...

injuries to starting upperclassmen will have tangible results in the production of a team, no matter what side of the ball.  for Michigan to have improved, made progress, the way they have, through the injuries and attrition, shows further that progress has been made...

more than just floating

we are patching the holes and repairing our guns.

Unleash hell...

Boom goes the Triple H

The new Triple H platoon of running backs:  Hart, Hayes and Hopkins.

I made a bet about 10 months ago:  this year bowl game, next year BCS bowl game, year after that NC.  I know 2012 schedule looks tough, but our future is oh so bright !

know that

know that we will miss you and your hard work Boys n da Pahokee...

thanks for the good stuff...

crap

if you put crap into something you can expect crap to come out...

deployment of all measures

any idea what special plays or tricks we may be pulling out this weekend vs osu?

tate and denard lined up together in the backfield?

vinopal lining up on the D-line?

happier to get Crawford

now that you mention it I am happier that we got Crawford.  Had we received Sammy and then lost out on Crawford I would be more disappointed.  Crawford, at his postition and with his headiness and skill level, is a much greater need for our the team...

weather, proximity, defense

i'm guessing it ultimately came down to the weather and proximity to home.  he'll play more away games closer to his region.

good news is that we have WR depth for a couple years.  next year will be another group of 5-star WRs to go around and our depth will show more favorably.

our offense is on the right track to NC caliber, the WRs will come.  its the defense that is the concern right now, and this means another scholly that can go that way...

who is kaepernick?

and who is Vai Taua?

it will be much fun to watch Shoelace, and our offense, evolve over the upcoming two years...

Inside Michigan Football?

Has anyone found a link for this week's Inside Michigan Football?  I didn't find it on Comcast, BTN online, and haven't seen Boys n da Pahokee's usual post.

James Rogers

come to think of it James Rogers is a good example.  In this weeks press conference he was asked if he expected to see the field, or even start this year.  He said that he was just there to do what was needed for the team.  Until Troy got hurt he wasn't going to see the field too much, but he worked hard and stayed the course.  He bounced around positions where the coaches needed him.  He said this week that no matter if he played or not he was going to get his Michigan degree.  That is a great example of a Michigan Man...

Michigan Man

to me a Michigan Man is a football player who stays the course, works hard for the team and does or does not see the field, but it comes down to two things, work hard and get your degree.  obviously there are coaches and support staff that can be a MM, again by setting a goal, working hard and staying the course.

David i am not trying to challenge you, and it is up to you if you want to infer what i mean by Michigan Man, but that is it, work hard and stay the course for Michigan and get your degree.  I agree with you that these are kids and kids have a right to change their minds.

i am a little bent

i am a little bent about the attrition from our secondary.  as i recall it was his work ethic that was lacking and consequentially, and rightfully, he was not getting his shot on the field.  i wish JT the best of luck, but clearly he was not a Michigan man.

my "shot" was a mild one and amongst us on this board.  i am not going after JT personally or trying to railroad him or his career in any way.

i applaud RR's consistent stance on how non-Michigan football players are handled and was simply echoing that stance by saying JT himself was OT.  clearly that was not agreed to by the rest of us on this board.  and that is fine, but please do not think I am going after a college student in any personal manner.

meant not as a shot at the OP

this was not meant as a shot at the OP, this was meant as a shot at Justin Turner.  i am learning my mgoediquette.  i do apologize...

who?

who?  not to be snarky, but those who leave our program are OT at best...  those who stay will be champions...

been looking for Inside Michigan Football

I haven't been able to find Inside Michigan Football yet this week.  Haven't found it on Comcast, Youtube, Boys n da Pahokee TV, BTN.   Does anyone have a link to it?

Rittenberg picks...

Rittenbergy picks Wiscy 37-28.  Says close until end when Wiscy offensive line and running backs seal the deal....

I respectfully disagree.  We will put up too many points for their running game to come back.  They will be forced to throw the ball to catch up.  It will be close but we will pull it out despite their mild comeback...

info on Florida LB

Sorry if already posted, and I can not create a new forum topic, but here is info on Ryan Petro, an OLB from Florida, supposedly very fast and great nose for the ball:

all your dreads...

all your dreads are belong to us...

...already prolific

Sammy will come here and add to our already prolific offense.  we are going to be a national championship offense in a few years...
