OSU uniforms for the game Saturday - Is this for real?
Words fail me. I cannot even imagine even OSU wearing these. Now I hope we win just because their uni's are so ugly they hurt my eyes.

...in Columbus to try to keep up with the fashion statements of the Oregon Ducks.
Psychologically, maybe we'll think we're lining up against Indiana and have some additional confidence.

Yes, it's real.

How dare you give more visuals of these disgusting unis. On the other hand, maybe we should thank you for preparing us for Saturdays game. Times like these, for OSU and Oregon games I wish I had a black and white TV

The helmets look like dirty tampons.
November 23rd, 2010 at 4:51 PM ^
Let's make it three times in two years! We have owned the state this year.
November 23rd, 2010 at 5:04 PM ^
It looks like a highschool uniform. With our defense, they were probably thinking about wearing leather helmets instead.
November 23rd, 2010 at 5:04 PM ^
The uniforms were real 3 months ago too
November 23rd, 2010 at 5:05 PM ^
Helmet looks like a bowling ball
November 23rd, 2010 at 5:11 PM ^
They look better than last season's disaster.
November 23rd, 2010 at 6:37 PM ^
You don't like pink?
November 23rd, 2010 at 5:21 PM ^
They'll need to borrow some Harvard colored signage also...
November 23rd, 2010 at 5:29 PM ^
Yes they are definitely wearing those. They were on College Football Live and The Experts on ESPNU. Those are absoultely disgusting. I almost threw up once I saw those.

If this is true, OSU is bordering on bat-shit crazy. The traditional look of this game is going off the map with these pop warner looking unis.
Maybe OSU will continue to wear crap-ass unis until they feel UM is competitive again in this game. Apparently they aren't taking Michigan or THE GAME seriously, either.

We start beating them a couple of years in a row and I bet the silly uniforms come to a dead stop.
Michigan:
A) would not screw around with our traditional uniform look, and
B) would NEVER do it for the OSU game if we did.
Save that stuff for a September MAC game.

OSU wearing these unis reminds me of Walter Smith running off at the mouth against "overmatched" OSU a few years ago. I am starting to wonder if the team is taking the rivalry as seriously as they used to. It's almost like they are "showing off." The Michigan/OSU game is a dangerous place to take that mentality.
November 23rd, 2010 at 6:19 PM ^
maybe they will play like rutgers and we'll win.

November 23rd, 2010 at 6:30 PM ^
Why do they love embarrassing themselves with disgusting uniforms?
November 23rd, 2010 at 6:34 PM ^
Maybe we should wear all yellow uniforms, make the ball into a hot dog, and turn the end zones into giant buns. The referees could wear all radioactive green and be relish.

My condiments to you on the lovely imagery.
November 23rd, 2010 at 6:38 PM ^
red and sparkly, reminds me of a delicious blowpop.

I'm sure TUOOS is being paid very well to do this.....the school will do anything for a buck. Everything on TUOOS campus is licensed to someone exclusively.....I'm sure this is just another example of chasing dollar signs from sponsors.

Perhaps I am being hypersensitive, but I find the military tie-in extremely offensive:
This year, in conjunction with Nike's season-long "Pro Combat" campaign, they're sporting a red-on-red look to commemorate the 1942 champs, many of whom were subsequently deployed in World War II. Because nothing says "Duty, Honor and Country" like Nike's moisture-wicking Dri-FIT fabric and Vapor Jet gloves featuring premium Magnigrip CL technology.
Apparently we're at a point where we're exploiting veterans' sacrifice to profit on jersey sales? People are okay with this? That's a pretty sad comment about where we're at as a society. Maybe Nike should consider donating a portion of their proceeds to the VA, VFW, or another worthy cause.
Here's hoping we pound these arrogant fools 6 feet into the Field Turf on Saturday.

Yes, everytime there's a flyover, ceremony to "honor" veterans, or some other crap, it's designed to boost sales and make money. There are no altruistic motives in pro/FBS athletics, regardless of what we want to believe.
I'm a Marine, and I deal with these assholes wanting flyovers, etc, and "honoring veterans" isn't a part of the plan.

why the hell is OSU running another fashion show this year?
November 23rd, 2010 at 8:06 PM ^
Those uniforms are so hideous they should just forefeit the game
