Oops, I meant "woohoo he's totally blue fer sure!!!!!11!!1!"

FitzTou10 told me so!
November 8th, 2010 at 7:52 PM ^
If so inclined, you might add to that list the factor that Roy Roundtree broke Michigan receiving records, thereby undercutting the cliche that 'you won't get recognized as a receiver in RR's offense.'
He didn't visit MSU?
November 8th, 2010 at 7:08 PM ^
I would love to see him pick the Maize n Blue, if we aren't the choice please go out west and NO SPARTY. If I remember correctly, he went sour on us because of the perception that we 'Don't Throw'. Well, he couldn't have been at a better game to dispel those thoughts...GO BLUE
November 8th, 2010 at 7:17 PM ^
While we speak RR is busy whipping up a batch extra powerful snake oil. I have a good feeling about this. Go Blue Mr. Arnett!!!
November 8th, 2010 at 9:07 PM ^
that we're talking about snake oil before we kill the 'stache this coming week?
LMAO if we "snake oil" a kid the week after RR sets a record and just before we destroy PurDon't!
November 8th, 2010 at 7:18 PM ^
Timing is everything and I think seeing that game in person could have done a ton for a talented young kid who just wants the ball.
I can see him being attracted to a school with the most dynamic QB in the NCAA who happens to be a sophomore, and offense that just destroyed a top 15 defense. Oh, and we have DG waiting to step in... Looks pretty rosy to me..
November 8th, 2010 at 7:24 PM ^
In two days at the DeAnthony "Decision" ........
I will be taking my talents... to Ann Arbor.
Fingers Crossed!
November 8th, 2010 at 7:33 PM ^
Do you know anything about Joe Kerridge?http://mgorecruit.blogspot.com/
November 8th, 2010 at 7:31 PM ^
were CAL, USC, and Michigan.
Now I am not him, but why would he choose USC when they have a new coach and are under major sanctions from the NCAA?
CAL? Well CAL is a good academic school, but no better than Michigan. And they are certainly not very competitive in the PAC 10 or BCS.
UM? UM has great academics, has 3 great quarterbacks, an offensive genius coach, and is a 2 hour drive away from home.
To me, this choice is a no-brainer.
DeAnthony, Go Blue!
November 8th, 2010 at 8:21 PM ^
That analysis is appropriate for determining who his 3rd place school is. His top two are believed to be MSU and TN.
November 8th, 2010 at 10:46 PM ^
That was before his eyes were opened to Michigan's down field passing attack.
November 9th, 2010 at 9:33 AM ^
Michigan's downfield passing attack moved Cal and USC in front of MSU and TN? That's wierd.
November 8th, 2010 at 11:48 PM ^
Cal blogs told me that Arnett eliminated Cal. But they also say he's down to MSU, Tennessee, and USC:
"He has eliminated Cal and is down to USC, Tennessee and Michigan State," DeAnthony's brother Ralph Arnett said. "Right now, DeAnthony is pretty confident in his decision but hasn't told any of us yet and I don't even know what he's going to do."
November 9th, 2010 at 1:08 AM ^
That stuff is almost a week old. No one even knew UM was in the picture 6 days ago, other than Deanthony and whatever insiders he told. Perhaps it was UM all along and the recent visit confirmed it for him.
November 8th, 2010 at 7:49 PM ^
If we don't get him, I will wish him good luck in the future. Surely the game had an effect on his decision, but if not then maybe it had a positive effect on sammy watkins who has us currently on the top of his list with Clemson. I see us getting atleast one of the two WR's and both of them would definitely boost our 2011 class ratings.
November 8th, 2010 at 7:53 PM ^
Was it already known that he would be announcing in this general timeframe (early nov-ish)?
Or was it just recently known that he would make his announcement just days after a surprise visit to M to see one of the craziest games ever?
I would think the answer to that question could possibly be telling...
November 8th, 2010 at 8:06 PM ^
He had said before the visit that he was likely going to be making his decision around this time.
November 8th, 2010 at 8:27 PM ^
It was said that RR recruits harder in other states and not in his own back yard....just from having my ear to the ground...He will not be a wolverine...just based on RR not going harder after Michigan (in State) recruits....MSU
November 8th, 2010 at 8:31 PM ^
you are kidding, right. Where did you hear this from? So, based on where ever you got your info, you think he will go to MSU.
November 8th, 2010 at 8:48 PM ^
dont be an idiot. if rodriguez is recruiting out of state more, it is because at the present time the superior players are there. when the superior player is here, i can assure you he will recruit them hard. i mean, seriously, how stupid can one be to believe the BS fed by dantonio. this is dantonio's modus operandi, to try to get an edge over us. too bad it won't work going forward.
November 8th, 2010 at 8:50 PM ^
Did your ear to the ground tell you that Michigan never stopped recruiting him and that was the reason for his visit? Hey it may not happen, but Michigan can and Rod will look nationwide for good recruits and this time the good recruit was in Michigan.
November 8th, 2010 at 9:10 PM ^
November 8th, 2010 at 9:12 PM ^
This is idiotic. Congrats!
November 8th, 2010 at 9:30 PM ^
I am sure that will delight many on here.
November 8th, 2010 at 9:43 PM ^
Fred Jackson has been recruiting Arnett for like two years now. This is a terrible argument.
November 8th, 2010 at 11:05 PM ^
I think you're confusing "ear to the ground" with "head in the sand".
BANTER!

... a picture of Tom Brady?
Wait, what? Really? Oh, man, what the hell is he thinking.
November 8th, 2010 at 10:23 PM ^
Oh, wait, college players leave after 3 or 4 years.
November 8th, 2010 at 9:21 PM ^
Why doesn't someone reach out and ask THE_KNOWLEDGE. I'm sure he already knows. Maybe he'd be willing to share that with us. I like that our visit was only 4 days before his announcement. I think it puts us in a good position unless he is such a heavy lean toward USC or MSU that even a great weekend couldn't sway him.
November 9th, 2010 at 8:17 AM ^
Of course he knows what happens. THE_KNOWLEDGE knows who we get in the 2014 Class.
November 8th, 2010 at 10:00 PM ^
I agree with Justin Beaver.
November 8th, 2010 at 11:37 PM ^
Look at it this way: By the time DeAnthony is up to speed with the offense, and had some real time with Barwis, three of our best wideouts will be gone. There is no guarantee that last year's haul will pan out, so you gotta take him. Also, you don't say no to 5 star players.
November 9th, 2010 at 10:43 AM ^
He isn't a 5 star to Scout or Rivals.
November 8th, 2010 at 11:42 PM ^
Hope he's Blue!
November 9th, 2010 at 12:27 AM ^
I'm not sure how significant this is really but after checkin out his twitter account after hearin about these claims about being in idaho, boise, and alabama within 24 hours I saw this tweet from november 3rd.
"IM WEARING NUMBER #1 IN COLLEGE ITS OFFICIAL"
no ones worn the #1 at michigan in a while, and I'm not sure how significant that number is to other teams at the wide receiver position as it is at michigan. Just saying, plus having visited michigan right after that.
November 9th, 2010 at 12:30 AM ^
Or i may just be too optimistic by it
November 9th, 2010 at 7:18 AM ^
Why. Because tom has not commented once on this thread or the inital thread about our chances. When Tom feels like we got no shot, he usually states so and answers questions in the thread. that is not happening here. He is always very respectful of how recruits wan their decisions to be known and never leaks early information unless the recruit wants him to. Quiet Tom = Hopeful me.
Plus. He was a Michigan fan growing up! You can't ignore that as being a huge factor no matter what recruits say.
November 9th, 2010 at 8:37 AM ^
On this post,
http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/deanthony-arnett-army-all-american
Tom's post is 1/3 down from the top. He thinks that Arnett, Walls, and Zettel will not go to MSU. Some sparty lover was making claims that all 3 may go to MSU.
So, there may be hope for Arnett, but at least he won't be Sparty.
November 9th, 2010 at 10:48 AM ^
If that #1 jersey comment is true, I'd say there's no way RR makes that promise to a kid when he hasn't earned it yet. Sounds like a Kiffin move. We have kids busting their asses and trying to win for last couple years and you think a hs kid gets promised that jersey? No way. Especially when Roy just said he wants it, but knows he has to earn it.
November 9th, 2010 at 6:15 PM ^
okay everybody if this kid comes to mich it will be as big as Demar Dorsey, (wish he was Here) cause it seemed like Mich was the last school on his mind I mean he never talked about Mich bein in the runing or acted like he was seriously interested, it seems like he thinks he's to big for Mich, like he has to go someway and be that teams "Shoelace" I tell ya what !!!!!! if he comes to Mich I'll do somethin that makes me sick I'll sing the Suckeye Battle Cry in my office in front of the whole Floor...I hope im wrong cause there gonna look at me like im crazy
