Cavs waive Danny Green - Manny Harris in
The Akron Beacon-Journal's beat writer is reporting that the Cavaliers have waived Dannny Green, which means that Manny Harris has made the Cavs fifteen-man roster. Good news, methinks...

I'm conflicted...

As has been proven, even if Manny Blossoms into the next LBJ, The cavs will still BLOW. Go Manny!!!

I try to make a Lyndon Johnson joke everyone refers to Lebron as LBJ, but it's like a creative blackhole, the 1960s. I've got nothing.

I once heard that Lyndon Johnson, in order to put a stop to petty squabbling during cabinet meetings, once pulled his penis out of his pants and said something to the effect, "there, now we all know I've got the biggest, can we get to work?" Maybe you could make something out of that.
[EDIT: I don't know how to spell "squabbling"]

I had also heard of an instant where he was asked why the US was in Vietnam, whereupon he whipped out his little johnson and bellowed, "THIS IS WHY!"

The use of the word "bellowed" totally makes that story. Nice.

Showing off the gallbladder surgery scar is all I can come up with. Instead of the cartoon where it is shaped like Vietnam, maybe a team logo under the jersey?

Anecdotes range from holding meetings from the toilet to truly impressive amounts of profanity. You could always turn to Robert Caro's multi-volume biography, though only the first three volumes are out so far.

You just need to come up with something for the L.

Me too, hopefully Danny will resign with a team I actually like though...

Manny Harris is....

I live in Cleveland and have been a Cavs season ticket holder for several years. I can tell you the coaching staff here loves Manny and has said he will get minutes this season.
Don't hate on the Cavs please. We're still a bit hurting over the "decision" and we've got Detroit's own Dan "Lebron's a punk-quitter" Gilbert at the helm.

is also a Sparty. Conflict, conflict.

But he did try and get Izzo to leave this summer so he's not all that concerned with his alma mater it would seem.

If you ran the Lions back in the mid-80s, you wouldn't have made a run at Bo to see if he'd come coach? I would trust that the program would have been handed off in good care to one of the bazillion future head coaches on that staff.

Hopefully Manny can help out the Cavs. That franchise could certainly use something going right.

That is great news for Manny. He certainly is a top flight young man.

Gilbert promised a championship in his open-letter nasty gram to LeBron. This is the obvious first step to making that happen.

I selfishly wanted you to return to Michigan for one more season, but hopefully you enjoy success at the next level and represent us well. Do your thing, son.

HUGE effect this will have in JB's recruiting. Having a JB guy actively playing in the NBA negates a lot of the "Michigan is now a white boy system with no NBA future" crap that is prevalent on the recruiting trail.

Manny wasn't a Beilein recruit and definitely looked out of place somewhat regularly in his system.
October 20th, 2010 at 12:27 PM ^
It doesn't really matter who originally recruited him. Beilein coached him for three years at Michigan.
October 20th, 2010 at 12:30 PM ^
It's the same system the Cavs use, pretty much. And Manny has been looking more like he's trying to fit in.
October 20th, 2010 at 1:16 PM ^
There's a little bit more incentive for him to learn it.
October 20th, 2010 at 1:29 PM ^
he's not being asked to score a ton of points.

Manny has fared better than Donovan Warren did!

But sure wish he would have stayed one more year
