Dee Hart to announce on Friday

Submitted by BKFinest on

As per Rivals, this upcoming Friday. No press conference. No frills. Just going to text his decision to coaches that recruited him. Would be one hell of a coup for us. Hopefully he brings HaHa here with him. Both would be starters next year. Imagine Denard with Dee Hart in the spread offense? Nightmarish for opposing defenses....enough dreaming until Friday.

Hart is going to Alabama.  Every time this kid visits a school he gets swayed in that direction.  So I'm assuming he will decide on Alabama.  He teammate is going there and his coach is a big time Bama fan.  That's a lot of close influence and pressure that this kid seems very pliable under.

Congratulations on your long journey in deciding on your college of choice.  Good luck next year as you begin your college football career.

Visions of you and Denard slicing up opposing Defenses beings a smile to my face.....

GO BLUE!!!!

I know he has been on our side for a long time now but any news on how his Alabama trip went with Saban trying to work his magic? Would be really great to know. Thanks.

I wish him the best wherever he winds up.  If he goes Blue, then great for UM and for Dee.  If he goes somewhere else, then I wish him the best but that's it.  Maybe it's just me, but we have 8+ months a year to worry about recruiting; I only have 12-13 games a year to really care about the team that I follow, and I'd rather focus on the players currently on the team battling MSU than recruiting.

I haven't gotten so pumped up for a decision from a recruit in forever! I normally try to refrain from getting hyped up, saying he's only a freshman and will need time to develop. It helps me normally....but not this time. I can't wait for him to make his decision!

Waiting for Hart to make his decision + Waiting for the  MSU/UM game = The Longest Week Ever

"We want freshman to come in and redshirt with Juniors and Seniors starting."

Maybe you "we" but not us we.....

Thank goodness, you are not the coach! That is more of that ancient bull crap that had plagued college football for far to long..... I suppose you want your yardage by 3 yards and a cloud of dust also.... and keep freshmen out of the media guide while your at it....( a favorite thing that jopa used to do for so many years)

And i suppose you would want to bench taylor lewan simply because he is a freshman?

TALENT WINS!

You put your best players out on the field.... true freshman or 5th year senior, it does not matter. Putting your best players out on the field gives you your best chance at winning, period. That is why we are seeing denard start now and not last year, he clearly was not the best, now he is. That is why we are seeing our offense grow the way we are, not because we have seniors and juniors out there but our best that we have on any given saturday.

Dee hart, on film looks awesome, that cannot be denied. Weather he will start over our other running backs is entirely up to him based on what he shows in spring ball and fall camp. RR will play the best RB and he has proven that (see Denard).

At the same time we can be excited by players like Dee Hart and others that show so much promise.....We are always looking to get better.

GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so tired of people arguing about whether Dee will start or not.  I think the point is, in a perfect world, we would have tons of All Americans that are Juniors and Seniors, (and Sophmores), meaning that most Freshmen would not be able to get playing time.  In that case we could redshirt most of our future All Americans.  In this scenario, we would be one of the best teams in the country year in and year out.

We all got the point, we just thought it was pretty dumb. Oh, so you are saying that we want as many all american upperclassman as possible at every position? That is earth shattering.

I think he's talking it over with his friends.  I think if Dee picks us we'll see HaHA and others come along with him.  The reason I think he will pick Michigan is that he knows he has a better chance at being a starting freshman RB here. @ Bamma he will be waiting a year or two, if he even gets to play RB?

...has repeatedly shown a willingness to play freshmen and to put the most talented players on the field.

Dee Hart, should he select us, will see SIGNIFICANT playing time his first year. I really think he knows this.

Ultimately, Dee Hart = Noel Divine v. 2.0 (and RR has told him as much).

The Double D offense (Dee and Denard) would be special indeed. As Dee himself pointed out, it would be a scenario for defenses to "pick their poison."

I think his decision simply comes down to this:  The relative weight of playing closer to home in warmer weather versus playing for us, an institution with higher academic standards and a more elevated national football profile.

The Sentinel has new article out today where Dee re-affirms the comments he made in the original article about Alabama by stating again that he's  "Real high on Alabama. Roll Tide." I know Dee is known to be a jokester and what not, but I'm starting to worry a bit here, even with everyone's reassurances thats he's going to be Blue come Friday night. Why must he torture us poor Michigan fan's, haven't been through enough already Dee in the past couple of years, lol!

Is this how people roll around here? I never claimed to be the next Frost. Next time I'll be a bit more careful but I was in a hurry to be the first person to get it on here, lol.  I'm glad to see though your focus was on that, instead of the aforementioned article that I posted. Congratualtions on being a total D-bag!

I think you kind of answered your own response there by acknowledging you should have spent a bit more time writing the post.  Listen, people around here have been following Dee Hart's recruitment for months, and there are legit recruit gurus who post here all the time (chief amongst them Tom VH).  And this issue has been addressed on numerous occasions, so maybe everyone is a little worn out and snappy.  That is kind of the deal with being a new poster, though - if you are just going to repost or provide your opinion on a topic that has been hammered into the ground, a couple of people may take issue with it.  Calling a guy a d-bag for doing so, though, is not going to help your cause.

All good points, but at the same time my intention wasn't to just rehash an old topic that has already been beaten up more than Lindsay Lohan's stinky beef trap. I was posting an article that the Sentinel released today that I figured was relevant to the discussion. I figured people might be interested to learn that Dee seemed to stick to his earlier disposition(Just like in the original Sentinel article) of Alabama being on top, regardless if he's just pulling our chains(I sure fucking hope so!) or not. The only reason I took even a mild offense to his response was because instead of commenting on the article, the poster decided he was gonna soley focus on my spelling and grammatical errors, hence, totally disregarding the point of my post, a douchey move at the time imo. I admit, I should have been a bit more mature and shouldn't of resorted to name calling but to me, he came off as condescending and arrogant, to traits I highly despise. Anyway, sorry for the rant, I just wanted to clear the air as I don't want people to think I'm some sort of troll or something, I love it around here! Like I said before, next time I'll be a little more attentive and careful before I hit the submit button, thanks!!
