Those Whigs really grind my gears!
|1 year 51 weeks ago||Agreed||
That is what I thought. With 100 or more players, that would be a lot of player arrests. I don't think we are any different than any other major college football program.

Jonross, this article only focussed on whether the players got special deals on the cars. Apparently they paid full price. What I want to know is where did they get the money to purchase these cars?
|2 years 33 weeks ago||On the Downswing||
Our rivals expect us to lose. If we win, that is the excuse they will use. That they are on the downswing. By the way, I recently reach 100 Mgo points. Yeah me!

I was checking out 11 Warriors today. About half the comments over there are shock that an OSU lock went somewhere else, the other half are saying that Meyer must have seen something he didn't like and cooled on him. There was talk that his completion % is too low, and that there are better prospects out there. By the way this is what they accuse Mgoblog fans of doing.

Ace, will you be adding an Espn column when they release thier rankings? I heard this would happen on April 17, I believe.

Yeah, if Dawson hadn't gone out, they would have won. And don't get me started on the refs! lol
|2 years 39 weeks ago||Michigan Arrogance?||
What surprises me is how MSU fans have become so arrogant so quickly. They act like it is a given that they will beat us next year. I think Michigan fans are much less arrogant. At least we recognize that we should win, but it will not be easy.

I know it is a lie. He was hounding Kyle Kalis enough that Kyle told him to stop calling. If he would lie about something that is easily checked, what else does he lie about.

What amazes me is the fact that there are nine pages of that RCMB post. That seems like a collosal waste of time to dedicate that much space to that topic.

They already have the technology to check placement of the ball. At the U.S. Open the players have challenges that they can use when a particular call is really close. It only takes a matter of seconds and they have an animated replay showing exactly where the ball landed in relation to the line. Can't see any reason why they can't do the same thing with college football.

|3 years 3 weeks ago||championship game?||
I count 11 teams in the new Big East, how are they going to schedule a championship game? Am I missing something?
|3 years 3 weeks ago||Big 12||
What's up with the Big 12? Are they really that good? Nine of their teams are in the top 45 with only Kansas outside the top 50. Also, 7 of their teams are in the top 10 for schedule strength.
|3 years 12 weeks ago||Why visit Michigan?||
If there is no chance that they will come here, why visit? If I was a high school senior, I would be visiting Florida or Oregon. Why take an official some place close to home that you are not going to go to anyway?

It is way too crowded. You have to go into the back country to get away from the crowds. Sleeping Bear Dunes is not near as crowded and it is great scenery. Nothing better than sitting on the top of the dunes watching the sun set over Lake Michigan.
|3 years 14 weeks ago||Geography?||
Sleeping Bear Dunes is not in the UP. It is on Lake Michigan, west of Traverse City.
|3 years 14 weeks ago||I have worked that venue||
When I lived in Indy, I worked for ESG Security and worked at both the Pepsi Coliseum and the grandstand at the State Fairgrounds, so this hits close to home. In fact I worked with one of those that died, Glenn Goodrich, who was an ESG supervisor. Not sure if ESG was doing security or if he was just attending as a fan.

The screens look awesome, but then when they pan the stadium, they seem so small! I guess that's why they call it the Big House.
|3 years 14 weeks ago||Morris 2013||
Morris will arrive in two years, not next year. Denard will have graduated before Morris is a freshmen.
|3 years 14 weeks ago||TomVH?||
I thought TomVH made a post when this was going on saying that the reason Jones was gone had nothing to do with anything he did. Am I mistaken? Or maybe I was in a drunken haze and imagined it? I just don't know...
|3 years 14 weeks ago||Actually, they have 3/4 of the league in bowls||
There are 9 Big Ten teams on the list.

|3 years 27 weeks ago||I noticed that there doesn't||
I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a lot of MSU recruits that we are recruiting, anymore. Guess we already took most of them!
|3 years 27 weeks ago||Thanks||
I appreciate the help. It will be fun to watch the 90+ offers slowly shrink.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Back up quarterbacks||
Don't we have several players on the team that also played quarterback in high school. Could they be a backup plan?
|3 years 45 weeks ago||Interview process||
I have trouble understanding why people are calling the coaching search a charade. I am not a human resources person, but if I was looking to hire and already had someone in mind, I would go through the process of interviewing other potential candidates to determine is someone else was a better hire. I think DB owed it to the school and fans to be deliberative and interview other candidates to determine if anyone else would do a better job. I suspect that he determined that based on the overall picture, that Hoke was the best choice. I hope that Hoke does a good job in the coming years. All Michigan fans should feel that way.

Hey, I'm in my 40's, not dead! lol
|3 years 47 weeks ago||A comparison||
To me, the most important point of my thread was comparing MSU and U of M's record of double digit wins. What caught my attention when looking at a statistics site was MSU's futility, and U of M's overall historical success.
|3 years 47 weeks ago||Maybe I should have said Sparty in my title||
I made this post because I thought it might get a good discussion going. It's better than another CC thread! I am in my 40's, so I don't remember the 1950's and 1960's, but am aware that Sparty had some good teams. If they had a history of being good, it would not matter how many games they played. Michigan had double digit wins seven times before 1947. Of course those were undefeated seasons and there was little room for error.
