how about the end to the LSU - Vols game?
Les Miles had someone looking out for him.
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:45 PM ^
Tennessee was basically off the field and in the locker room. Sh#tty ending for them, LSU pulls out another crazy one.
October 2nd, 2010 at 9:09 PM ^
Funny how life works. I used to be sad that Les Miles turned us down, now I couldn't be happier.
October 2nd, 2010 at 10:44 PM ^
I've lost count of how many close games LSU has won the last several years by sheer luck. It's truly mind boggling.
October 2nd, 2010 at 6:59 PM ^
Texas is going down. Again.
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:04 PM ^
...VT there. And they'll go for two.
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:10 PM ^
...salt it away with that INT and return.
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:11 PM ^
You guys think Bama wins in a blowout or something close ? I got 27-21 Bama
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:15 PM ^
I think Florida in an upset. They're starting to get come together, and Bama seems a little shaky still.
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:13 PM ^
To the other live blog mods: I apologize for ditching you, but my Internet crashed and is still down (thank goodness for iPhone). It must have been awful whenever Indiana was on the field.
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:16 PM ^
...experience. Aaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:25 PM ^
Yeah, moderating CIL liveblogging =
awful user interface from CIL. but amazingly fun. and makes me appreciate the jobs the mods do.

The first is always crazy. Just wait until a MSU or OSU game. Each touchdown is 700 comments every half second.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:51 PM ^
Can you with the gazillion mgopoints move this thread back the front page?
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:55 PM ^
Fixed for you.
October 2nd, 2010 at 9:07 PM ^
I had several comments that made it and several that didn't. Good either way. I just appreciate all the work y'all do to keep it going and pseudo-sane. Thanks!

October 2nd, 2010 at 7:41 PM ^
I hope Florida wins, for Dee Hart's sake :)
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:56 PM ^
The ESPNNEWS CFB Overdrive crew is jizzing themselves cuz of denard. Actually one of them is Jon Ritchie - former Michigan player who transferred to Stanford.
They think MSU is a much better team. And now they're fawning over the Sparties.
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:58 PM ^
Threet not getting much help from his O line tonight. He has been sacked twice on ASU's current drive.
October 2nd, 2010 at 7:58 PM ^
Alright, after a slightly unusual hour break in the schedule the night games are about to get started. Usually there's a game starting at 6 or 7 but all I had on TV from 7-8 was Georgia losing to Colorado. CU is up 14-3 early in the 2nd now.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:01 PM ^
Wow, that's a lot of numbers in my post.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:03 PM ^
Threet is 4 for 11 passing for 95 yrds.
1 TD
1 INT
3 Sacks
Losing to Oregon St. 24 - 14 with 20 seconds til half time
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:09 PM ^
wow the oregon duck just rode in a harley.
i guess my UW friends here in seattle were right about oregon fans being kinda trashy,
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:12 PM ^
Should not surprise anyone that Oregon does stuff like that. Just look at all the attention they get for those awful jerseys.
October 2nd, 2010 at 9:13 PM ^
There is kind of an OSU/SEC vibe there - though it gives them a good homefield advantage.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:16 PM ^
Thomas is no Denard. Denard would have taken it all the way on that run.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:20 PM ^
Since this thread is already knocked off the front page I suggest we start a new Open Thread at the end of the 1st quarter.
There are probably going to be a lot of threads complaining about the defense, so a new thread at the end of the 1st quarter might let a lot of them get out of the way.
Edit: Or, let's move on over to jamie mac's night games thread now.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:21 PM ^
All 3 games open up with drives stalling out in the red zone
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:34 PM ^
Dear Urban Meyer,
Trey Burton is not Tim Tebow and Nick Saban is not coaching another weak ass SEC team that you can run through a la 2006-08. Learn to coach again and we'll talk. Until then, I'd like a larger serpent to swallow this stadium whole. Actually, all of Alabama too. Can I get the South in general included in that?
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:48 PM ^
Consolidating evening open threads to this one as to keep the same topics together.
Jamiemac's still my boy though. xoxo, miss you big guy.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:50 PM ^
i wish you'd posted something in the other thread. the switch, combined with my lack of sobriety, confused the crap out of me.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:51 PM ^
My bad, I put a note in the OP as a mod edit. I figure when people can't reply, they'll figure something out. This thread should be at the top of recent posts at least.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:53 PM ^
The only problem is the other one was on the front page and this one isn't. Now people are going to start threads for each game.
October 2nd, 2010 at 10:29 PM ^
Word, I am all for consolidating threads
Do the GOOD TIMES STILL ROLL IN THIS ONE IF THEY DO THEN I AM ALL FOR IT OH WAIT THEY DO OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE WE HAVE THE BEST PLAYER IN FOOTBALL
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:48 PM ^
Is Oregon not as good as hyped, or is Stanford just THAT good?
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:51 PM ^
a bit of both i'd say.
the best team oregon has played to date is tennessee.
and stanford shut out whats a pretty decent ucla team.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:51 PM ^
Anyone else catch major ESPN gaffe? While slobbering over how solid Iowa is (while, you know, beating Penn State), they said that it is so important for Iowa's upcoming schedule that they get Michigan at home. Err, wait, something seems wrong about that.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:56 PM ^
On gameday this morning they noted that OSU is a home game and that post indiana we had 5 of our next 7 at home.
They don't really know what they're talking about.
October 2nd, 2010 at 9:04 PM ^
and is threw me off since I road tripped to Iowa last year.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:53 PM ^
I think it's just that Oregon has been sloppy since Harbaugh's penalty on the opening drive. And now they're in deep doo-doo.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:57 PM ^
Iowa's crowd looks awesome. Penn State looks like crap. That O-Line is getting killed. Martin will Hulk Smash! them.
October 2nd, 2010 at 9:03 PM ^
The PSU game looks more and more like a win for Michigan. I am amazed at how inept their offense is.
October 2nd, 2010 at 10:12 PM ^
Penn State looks beatable. Denard will do his thing. The D has less to worry about than usual since PSU's Qb is not that good.
October 2nd, 2010 at 10:15 PM ^
I'm really excited to see us go to Penn State. Road games are always exciting, and I think we could see some serious fireworks, I love our dline and freshman secondary against their oline and QB.
October 2nd, 2010 at 10:47 PM ^
Penn State has been playing well on defense, though. Iowa only has 17 points with seven minutes to go. Alabama only scored 24 on them at home too.
October 2nd, 2010 at 10:51 PM ^

While I don't think we'll go up and down the field on PSU, my confidence comes from my belief that we'll hit them for enough big plays (either from Robinson or our receivers) to keep the game out of their reach.
October 2nd, 2010 at 9:25 PM ^
But I wouldn't go as far as saying that game looks like a win for M yet. Its a road game and I seem to recall it's a night "white out" game. Bolden is playing like a true freshman.
October 2nd, 2010 at 8:58 PM ^
Oregon has a tendency to come out flat in big games. Oregon looked good last year going into the Rose Bowl but seemed very flat against Ohio State. They look very similar to that tonight. They overlook other ranked teams it seems.
On the other hand they looked bad against Tenn until the 2nd half of that game too.
