Thanks for the update. I love the 3:30 games - gives the valium a few hours to really kick in before the action starts.
(For the record I don't lol) but don't you want more of a upper for the game? Say like huge amounts of Blow or maybe some speed!!! lol
Got a nice little 18-miler to handle that morning before kicking back on the couch and firing up the grill just outside.
Am I really wishing away the months between now and then?...
There's no cure for this, is there?
3 months, 9 days
101 days
2424 hours
(just measureing to the day, not to 3:30pm of that day)
145,440 minutes
8,726,400 seconds
no, there is no cure for this. in fact, it only gets worse with age.
sorry.
plenty of time to booze it up
This is as close to a night game as Michigan football currently gets. Get to sleep in a little bit longer for the drive up to AA. Can't wait for this game.
101 days away!
Man. 101 days...that's so far. I don't think I can make it.
...what 101 days of development will do for the team. These guys will be Barwisized and ready come September.
extra time to work on the roster flashcards i make every year. one side is the number, the other is the name and hometown of the player.
Read the title and got an adrenaline rush just thinking about football season. Cant wait to watch them lay the smackdown on a poor unsuspecting Uconn team. Now I got to go break something so I can calm back down.
As a student, I could not be happier to have a 3:30 opener, since that gives me much more time for [scholarly activities] in the morning. My dad and little sister (who will be a freshman at UConn this fall) will both be there too, joining me for said [scholarly activities].
Forecast? Me and my dad will trash talk my little sister relentlessly. She will in turn make fun of my dad for not getting in, and me for my awful GPA. Good times!!
And for the actual game? Send the Huskies back to the Big East, tails between legs and start the season off right, shutting up the doubters with some more Ws.
Can't wait!!!
Guess I got the summer to sharpen up my washer tossing skills and start testing out BBQ recipes. Can't wait!
This means we have to wait another 3 and half hours for the season to start. September 4th can't come soon enough.
I won't get anything done until the game -- and the celebratory dinner gets delayed.
I was hoping for a noon start because I already have a lot of anger festering from this long, long offseason. I guess this gives me more time to worry and be antsy for kickoff.
NCAA football 11 demo comes out in June, then the real game July 13. This will hold me over until fall. I'd probably explode if the game didn't come out until the season started.
Love the 3:30 starts. No pressure to get up early from the night before and start drinking. Also, will definitely be needing a cab back home from the bar after this one.
I don't have a drinking problem. I swear. Michigan football is an exception, not the rule.
Last year I had to miss the first drive (Tate to Hemmigway for the score) because the Noon game went into OT. Nothing like waiting all season for opening kickoff just to miss it and the first drive with a new hyped up qb like Tate.
Either way, lets get this season started, 101 days....
Yea that was pretty miserable....I remember freaking out until the game came on. Hopefully the noon game does not go into OT this year.
Indeed, stupid Syracuse. The first thing my brother and I saw once they cut to the game was the replay of Tate to Hemmingway and immediately freaked out due to the extended build up. Almost spilled my beer... almost.
Welp, 101 days until I start smoking furiously again. Ah, autumn rituals...
is always a better time for students. I know it sounds real un-rah rah of me to say this, but it's better when you don't have to get up until 930 and can start drinking at noon and still be buzzed/drunk when you get to the game. I hated getting up at 730 or 8 and drinking lukewarm Keystone Light that we forgot to put in the fridge the night before.
problem is that everyone is sobered up and sleepy come 4th quarter.
I guess for me it always depended on the game. If we were smoking, I usually got tired but in a close game I never really lost steam. Granted I'd follow up the buzz by blowing like 20 bucks on MT DEW but I was sometimes too tired to go out after the game or even that night.
A 30 pack of Busch Light a day should do it
and assemble it into a Rocky-style training montage?
Video, damnit, or it didn't happen.
depending on whether or not we win the coin toss, our first TD should be taking place anywhere between 3:32 and 3:38.....and I should be lighting up my first victory cigar of the season sometime around 7:45.
Well we will probably put Denard on kick-off so he can catch the ball in the end zone before the kick returner has a chance to catch it.
Either way, 7-0 us by 3:32.
this is a big game and will be getting a lot of hype.
Lots of eyes will be on the big house for this one. Hope we dont dissapoint.
This thread has absolutely nothing to do with sanctions!
Could it be?
WOOOOOO-HOOOOOO!!! Football is coming! Its on its way!! (smashes beer can against skull) Fuck Yeah! Woooooo-Hooooooo
It didn't work.
Try harder. if that doesn't work, use your teeth. If that doesn't work, call Barwis.
This gives the team three and a half hours more to think about how pissed they are over the last two years, how it's "us against the world," and how much they want to go out and destroy whoever is across the line of scrimmage from them. It will also help the buildup to a point where Michigan comes out with the intensity of a rivlary game.
This should end extremely well for Michigan; hopefully, it signals to a large audience that Michigan football is truly "back."
For us west coasters, this is very good. Now the game starts at 12:30 instead of 9AM. i'll probably sleep in a little. watch the second half of a couple of the early games, and get fired up for MICHIGAN FOOTBALL!!!@!!!11!!@!
Call me old fashioned, but I love noon games. I think I might have to move to california just so that I can wake up relatively early and start watching college football, rather than wait all morning. Then again, I secretly love watching College Gameday.
Gives me 10.5 hours to tailgate.
3:30 start in September means it's going to be mighty, mighty warm for the first half. Isn't the peak heat of the day right around 4PM?
