Recruiting Stories
Rojo's Momma
I'll see your Rojo's Momma and up you an Alex Legion's Momma (although that would be BBall)
But come on, she was a Prophet afterall

This one kid from Minnesota said he was coming here to catch balls and then recruited a two other kids to come here and throw balls and then he said he was going to Minnesota and one of the kids he told to come here to throw balls went to Penn State and the other kid he told to come here and throw balls went to Tulsa and now the kid who said he was going to come here to catch balls and then said he wanted to catch balls in Minnesota is at Clemson.
who said he was going to Purdue to catch balls came to Michigan to catch balls.
So is it RoJo's momma or Alex Legion's momma that catches more balls?
That means I can't post this:
when Bo was recruiting Art Schlichter and was visiting his house and Schlichter's dad was telling Bo how OSU was guaranteeing Schlichter would start as a freshman and could Michigan match that?
Bo explained how he started yelling at Schlichter's dad and banging his finger on their coffee table to emphasize his point and then told Schlichter's dad to send his kid to OSU because Rick Leach was his starting QB in the fall.......and how Schlichter went to OSU, started and Leach ate him up that year in the game.....
My least favorite recruiting story is Ronald Johnson.
He never committed only to decommit. He made no promises. The kid wanted a chance to play WR and we were recruiting him as a corner. You may not like the outcome, but you cannot be pissed about the RoJo recruitiment.
Additionally, Michigan was able to get Warren, and RoJo not committing likely played part of that. That was a pretty good trade, if you ask me.
Once again: USC recruiting him as a WR and Michigan recruiting him as a DB had no effect on his recruitment, nor did Warren committing to Michigan. There was no "trade off."
There is a reason people are and should be pissed about the Rojo recruitment. I have told the story several times, and contrary to what certain people would have you believe, it's not some fantasy tale I thought up; I've simply repeated what other people - people who cover recruiting and Michigan football for a living - have said.
Everyone knows the story about his mother but my sources aren't that far removed. My brother graduated with RoJo. Played football with him. Wasn't tight but was friends.
The position he was being recruited for might not have been the main reason, but it was a factor.
Once again, RoJo never committed to Michigan. He was a highly rated played who had Michigan as his leader, but he waited until signing day to make any definite decisions. I am sorry that I don't agree with you that we should be "pissed" at an 18 year old because he made a decision to not go to Michigan, regardless of his reason, especially when he was a silent commit at best.
There was this one kid...
Some super-hyped white RB doing flips all over the interwebs.
Got smashed around a bit.
Left.
I assume you refer to Sam McGuffie. This one kid had heart and guts and was a joy to cheer for. His leaving was disappointing but he had family issues and played during Rich Rod's first gut wrenching season. In my book, he does not deserve any disrespect.
longest offseason ever.
My senior year in HS, we had plans to go on a really lame senior trip. Well, we got this totally rad substitute teacher who said he would take us white water rafting instead. We all got really stoked and showed up super early the morning we were supposed to leave. Well, little did we know, the sub (also the principal's little brother) totally flaked on us for some chick. Crestfallen, we thought our trip would be cancelled. My friend Samuel (we called him screech) was near tears. Luckily Albert -Clifford and I RECRUITED our principal to take us instead. It is this incident that led our gal-pal Jessie to go on to become a stripper.
"True story."
a certain ex-ND head football coach refusing to leave a recruit's home until he committed to ND. The visit lasted a while....
...until all the food in the house was gone, and the visit abruptly ended.
You're not that far off, he got there well before dinner and stayed in the living room while the family ate dinner and then eventually left much later in the evening. But it wasn't Weis.
LIKE OMG WHAT NOTRE DAME COACH WAS IT?!
I think I will leave you in suspense for now, lol
ok never mind it was Willingham. lol
And woke up a Seminole. That was the worst recruiting story I can remember.
a Wolverine and woke up a Sooner?
