Shocking News: Mike Brown fired by Cleveland
The closest parallel situations would be Det. firing Carlisle, Det. firing Saunders (probably closer), or Avery Johnson dismissed from Dallas.
Not really, because that was a Piston's team on the rise. Not many people had expected them to get to the conf. finals. If anything, the parallel would have been firing Brown after the Cavs made the finals.
This was a team that disappointed in the playoffs two years in a row. He should have been fired last year (or even the year before).
Edit: meant as response to the first comment in the thread.
You think Mike Brown is the answer for Cleveland? You are in the minority.
I just posted over at MM that I don't see LBJ staying in Cleveland. This is an obvious first move in an attempt to keep him there. Things are definitely heating up in the "mistake on the lake." I think it is a good move either way, though. Brown isn't quite ready to be the head coach for a contending NBA team. He needs to coach in college or maybe take over a very young team in the NBA and grow while they do.
I think the owner would be the authority on the subject.

Well owner Dan Gilbert just had his press conference and said that no decisions have been made yet. I'm sure they will review it and he'll be gone by next week.
Well you missed the OT on this one...
And because of yesterday's OT-What is the dumbest OT post you've seen?
This post gets my vote.
The Cavs losing makes me continue to wish that the discussion was about best teams and not best players. While some players are significantly better, situation often dictates performance.
