One Frame At A Time: BTT, Part One
There's too much from this tournament run to cram into one GIFs post, so I'm splitting it into two parts; today's covers the Illinois and Purdue games. The glut of quality GIFs is due in no small part to Fred Wright-Jones, who emerged over the tournament as the heir apparent to Andrew Dakich's role as King of the Bench Mob. You can see him above mirroring Zak Irvin's dunk from the end of the bench. There's much more where that came from.

HONORABLE MENTION
Too much to post, but my gfycat library is available here, and it's searchable by keyword. Each GIF is tagged with player names, opponent, and "Big Ten Tournament" for these games.
15. X GON DENY THE POST
Apparently Michigan can switch everything next year.
14. Irvin To The Rack
The game-tying layup:
More of the same in OT:
Your return is most welcome, Good Irvin.
13. RahkSlam
Michael Finke realized the error of his ways a moment too late.
12. DJ On The Move
Note to NBA scouts: DJ Wilson is actually 5'9". The rest is just hair.
11. Beilein Reacts To Officiating
The surrender cobra is good:
This is even better thanks to the ref walking into the frame at the end:
10. Passing Of The Torch
Watch the far left.
9. WAGNER'S REVENGE
Totally unintentional. Totally.
8. Yoink
Remarkable stuff from a wildly undersized forward with very big hair.
7. [two fire emojis]
Can't give him an inch, Illinois version:
Purdue version:
6. And-Fun
Between the outlet, the finish, and Wright-Jones, there's a lot going on here.
A whole lot.
5. A Swift Death
Hot damn.
4. White Collar Pull-Up
Blue collar staredown.
3. Airmail
Enhance.
2. Yakety Slam
ENHANCE.
FRAMES OF THE GAMES: WAIT FOR IT
Long live Fred Wright-Jones.
VOTE
Irvin traveled on Yakety Slam
BOO THIS MAN!
There was no whistle, so no traveling.
Go Blue

He's just getting ready for the Association.
That said, I don't mean to minimize the social importance of walking. I remember many years ago when a benefit concert was held to raise awareness of this very important issue...
Where's the gif of Fred Wright-Jones scuffling around in celebration?
So it'll be posted tomorrow.
I'm sure that'll be in tomorrow's post.
THE BEST!
I don't always click through on OFAAT. But when I do, it's for awesome stuff like this.
I love that you don't actually have to click through anymore. All the gifs just load and start playing.
I went with White Collar Stare-Down.
Big fan of 'GTFO my court' moments.
You know it was a good BTT when there is a 2 part gif post coming. Looking forward to tomorrow's installment.
The Wright-Jones celebraish on the Yakety Slam made me thik of that LSU dinosaur kid from a couple years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfMoxb3qE10
for 3 more weeks of these.
Can't wait for Part II
is without compare and running away with the title; this tourney was a bench party bounty full of treasures; the 360 disco dance was outstanding and needs to be reposted.
These are some quality Wright-Jones, but I guess the best stuff was from Saturday/Sunday? Because he cracked me up like five or six times during the tournament and I think only one of these did.
Get Fred Wright-Jones his own show.
After he graduates!! Dude is hilarious. I really did enjoy that dunk by irvin.
GO BLUE!!
This is my vote:
So many good ones. But the all-caps WAGNER'S REVENGE makes me LOL.
No love for 'Yoink'? This is a travesty! That move by DJ was among the bits and pieces of the Thursday and Friday games that I was able to catch live while at work, and I went wild when I saw it (my co-workers think I'm insane).
So many to choose from, though. That's what I call a good problem. Obligatory:
We need to enjoy Fred Wright-Jones now while we can before his hyphenated name lands him in our football team's next recruit class
If DJ Wilson's windmill layup is not in that game's One Frame At A Time then I quit the site!
I love how his entire thought process during that play was fully apparent from his demeanor. He intended to dunk the ball when he approached the basket, then as he jumped, he thought, "Actually, that's probably not going to work," and settled for a layup. DJ is awesome.

The best part is that he can do all those things in the same move.
The dude is a human Gumby.

Wright-Jones is going to run away with that one so you'll be disappointed.
Gotta be yakety slam as it perfectly captures what this team has become. There's two minutes left in a laugher of a blowout and the EFFORT that goes into that play is just... brilliant.
Love the hats BTW

His dad keeps talking about how he wants to get into coaching. IMO he doesn't want to look like he's clowning it up too much instead of paying attention to what is going on.

are we supposed to pick only one from that??? Jeeze that's a tough collection...
The autoplay GIFs are so much better than having to click on each one. +1 MGOBLOG. Plus One.
Did you see the boot in the boiler that Mo took from the ref (9. WAGNER'S REVENGE) when they got tangled up? No wonder he was a little empty after that...
