Neil Fingelton who played Mag the Mighty on Game of Thrones died yesterday at 36. He was the giant who died in the tunnel at the Wall fighting the Night's Watch.

but we had to sneak out at 3 am, walk 10 miles then walk 10 miles back so nobody would guess we were sleeping in the school. We had the same 20 mile hike in the evening. If there was a snow storm in the evening still had to walk the 20 miles, sometimes only arriving back at the school at 3 am at which point we had to start walking again.

As Doug Llewellyn would say -
"If you're in a dispute with another party and you can't seem to work things out, don't take the law into your own hands; you take 'em to court."

I think I was too young to remember him on the People's Court, my grandma loved him though. RIP Judge Wapner...to me he will forever be immortalized by:

His bailiff was named Rusty. I'll never forget their Rusty-themed advertising campaign, maybe from the late 80s. It was just a western-country music themed song that repeated "Ruuuusssttttyyyy" over and over again. Bwahahahahaha...

My favorite Judge Wapner trivia: He apparently had a couple of dates with Lana Turner when he was in high school! Didn't go well. Details here.

Yes we do. It's OT season. People do threads about EVERYTHING in OT season! :) Just wait until a cool new spatula is invented. It will be the top thread on the board.
Besides, this is a pretty famous c-lister and a former boxer and boxing ref so there is a kind of sports tie in too...

Wow - I assumed he had left us in the 90's. Kind of like Abe Vigoda. Judge Wapner seemed pretty old when he was doing The People's Court back in the 80's

Loved the original People's Court with Wapner...especially the theme song. One of the best.

He seemed like a really good, genuine guy however. He set the standard. All of the current TV judges pale by comparison.
