Three more MSU players may be off team
There were rumors bandied about early this week about some very bad news dropping for MSU football today, and now some stories are starting to surface that include Josh King and two others being gone. Names mentioned include LJ Scott, Donnie Corley, Demetric Vance, and Kenny Lyke. Will be interesting to see how this develops.

I wonder if he will still be selling Results, and not Hope???
February 8th, 2017 at 12:55 PM ^
At this point he can't realistically sell either.
February 8th, 2017 at 2:51 PM ^
Oh yes he can, "I hope we can beat Rutgers again!"

Only if they wanted to pay their own way (and are eligible of course).
February 8th, 2017 at 1:23 PM ^
The current one is they can go on scholarship, but lose a season of eligibility. Obviously some exceptions have been made for grad transfers and I think for Ahmir Mitchell.

You must be confused, they only recruit high-character guys...
February 8th, 2017 at 12:29 PM ^
intergalactic high character guys at that.
February 8th, 2017 at 12:55 PM ^
And quite a cast of characters it is. You have the Jon the racist white linebacker, Eor Lukusa on the O-Line, etc.

"pretty please, with sugar on top - clean the fucking car"
..so what were we talking about again?
February 8th, 2017 at 1:26 PM ^
That remark is often misunderstood. What Dantonio meant was that they only recruit students who write in nothing but uppercase characters.

The buckeyes would probably nab him up. Seems about the same level of character in terms of schmuck ranking.
Edit: I know they are just kids but someone has to be real on this site. These punks will grow up to be full fledged schmucks. It's just fact guys.

what they are getting booted for. Usually a guy booted from MSU is not going to be accepted at UM...

You want guys were kicked off of that team, of all teams? Nah fam.
February 8th, 2017 at 12:16 PM ^
Even if we don't have the room to add Corley to our stable of highly regarded receivers, we could always put him back in the secondary. Kid is a stud athlete.

Don't need Sparty's cast offs. Had his chance and blew it.

but also think with some good leadership (and a cooling off period for perspective) - these guys will be fine. (Yes, I'm assuming this is related to the whole "I wish I had JR's girl" thing, and resulting meltdown). Many people, including myself, don't always shine in emotional situations. Doesn't mean they're throw-aways IMO.
February 8th, 2017 at 12:38 PM ^
Do we know what exactly happened? They may be leaving for legitimate reasons. I know I wouldn't want to be on that team right now given the racist, hormonal melodrama that just went down.

Mike D'Antoni already setting up the excuses for next year's 2-10 team. It's a real tear jerker.

Pride comes before watching everything you built up fall apart and sink into a smoldering pile of shit ?

There's a small part of me that feels bad for Dantonio having his little empire fall apart.
And then I remember he's a petty, vengeful, prick and deserves all of this for being an unrepentant asshole the last decade.
February 8th, 2017 at 12:30 PM ^
Obligatory....

definition of "Pride before the fall".

This keeps up, their team photo is going to have that many players in it.

Here's a tip, if you ever find yourself feeling sorry for Mark in all of this, book mark this video, and go back and watch it beginning at 2:20. That feeling will go away really fast.
February 8th, 2017 at 3:39 PM ^
actually apologized to Dantonio for the stake incident? Really? In-state rival just beats you again on the field, and you apologize for a meaningless stunt? Weak sauce.
I do not envision Harbaugh apologizing for anything to an opposing coach, especially something as meaningless as that. Hoke was soft.
February 8th, 2017 at 3:43 PM ^
Maybe Jim can borrow Osceola and Renegade to plant the stake for next year's MSU game?
February 9th, 2017 at 4:38 AM ^
So was his team.
February 8th, 2017 at 12:25 PM ^
In addtion, I have to think that if you look really hard that it is entirely possible that the pride was not in compliance with the building code for pride in the first place. If it had been, it wouldn't fall apart and sink into a smoldering pile of shit.
February 8th, 2017 at 12:29 PM ^
All of these. Let this serve as a reminder to all of us. Check the batteries in your shit detectors....check them regularly.
