Kid from Inkster just had his film "Bilal's Stand" shown at Museum of Modern Art (yesterday) and at Lincoln Center (this aft) as part of the New Directors' Film Festival. Autobiographical story of Kid from Inkster trying to break free from his background so he can go to the University of Michigan. (Obviously he did and got a film degree. And made a terrific film. Lots of discussion of U and shots of campus.)
