NCAA Tournament open thread part deux
Well so much for E Tennessee St. Hanging with UK, However Ohio is up on GeorgeTown early in the game.
It probably would have been a good idea to bet on Kentucky -18. Seems like pretty easy money.....
After the close early games, none of the current ones seem very interesting.
Just once I'd like to see a 16 seed beat a 1 seed. Especially if that one seed is A John Calaparri (sp?) coached team.
UK game.
Kinda sucks because the other two games look interesting.

You now have all of the games.
Well for maybe the first time in my life I am rooting for something from the state of Ohio. Go Bobcats beat the Hoyas.
I'm all for rooting for the underdogs, but I honestly am unsure if I can root for a team from Ohio. It's like I'm a Pavlovian dog. I see Ohio and I instantly root against them.

If it makes you feel better, they hate OSU.
March 18th, 2010 at 11:13 PM ^
Really? I'd assume that most people there would root for OSU, just like how people at the MAC schools in Michigan usually also root for us or Sparty.
March 18th, 2010 at 11:31 PM ^
because of that stupid fucking THE Ohio State University bullshit.
Consider it like the MSU/UM hate.
Would MSU hate us if they were a MAC program? I'm not sure.
All I know is that I met some people from Ohio and they happened to mention that they, as a school, hate OSU and that little brothers always hate big brothers.
are on fire. they can do no wrong.
Don't know if anyone else has been having problems, but March Madness on Demand blows if you aren't on a super computer. Was in the lab for class earlier and watched the Murray State finish with no lag or anything. Home now, and this POS barely functions.
I was a perfect 8-0 in the early afternoon sessions. Worried though, I took N. Iowa and Marquette, I think I could lose both.
I had UTEP as a sweet sixteen team, I also took Vandy to beat Murry st. I have Marquette as a sweet sixteen team and (gulp)Georgetown as an Elite Eight squad. As much as I love upsets, that will probably knock me out of the running.
Georgetown would be a killer. I have them losing in the sweet 16 to .......... wait for it............. Georgia Tech.
Same here, Georgetown in elite 8. Not good for the ol' bracket but that is what's great about march madness.
I had G'town losing to Nova in the finals. Just took a trident to the heart.
March 18th, 2010 at 10:01 PM ^
Oh, to the heart....duh.
looks like another set of great games.
RAWRCATZ have been awesome......this will be interesting to see if the Hoyas will make a run.
50-36 with 18 to go
Jamie I was thinking of taking a trip to Vegas, I could sure use some of your insight.
When are you going. I mean, like, tomorrow? I'll have some plays
will you be there in 20 minutes? I'm thinking of making a small play on wake +5, maybe roll with Steve Fisher +3.5
maybe the points with montana
just small plays.
Huskies!!

lead with 1.7 secs left
Glad to see bad-Georgetown showed up tonight. Kills that region for me.
Washington/Marquette game has been awesome to watch. Hopefully Washington can pull away. Isiah Thomas FTW.
It's 8:54pm and Georgetown still sucks.
and Georgetown is makng a move.
Georgetown had better lose this game. Nova coming back earlier was bad enough.
Edit: That could have been the clincher 3 from Ohio.
Well, that Northern Iowa win has finally busted my bracket. Georgetown is about to destroy it.
marquette v. washington is turning out to be eyecandy. they're both shooting the lights out.
St. Mary's and the winner of the UW/Marquette game could cause some real damage. Easily the most impressive teams I have seen so far today.
Murray State and Ohio can suck a big one! My bracket is shot to hell already.
"...suck a big one" you talking oden? they'd have their collective hands full if that's the case.
March 18th, 2010 at 10:34 PM ^
Ha, I have Butler (have no idea why) in my final 4, and Murray St may help out in getting them there.
I had Gtown in my elite 8, which kind of sucks. The weird thing is that I almost picked Ohio, yet for some strange reason I still ended up picking Gtown to go to the elite 8. I put my bracket together in 2 minutes, and this makes no sense to me in hindsight.
I was hoping to save all the good upsets for tomorrow (i.e., New Mexico St. over MSU; let's see some couch burning).
March 18th, 2010 at 10:06 PM ^
1-3 in that little group of four games for me (assuming no Marquette miracle). Downer after a strong start.
March 18th, 2010 at 10:06 PM ^
It's 10:06pm and Georgetown still sucks.
Tonight is a great night for schadenfreude.
Go Orange!
March 18th, 2010 at 10:06 PM ^
Washington had no business winning that game.
March 18th, 2010 at 10:07 PM ^
Perhaps, just perhaps, the Huskies will reach the Sweet 16 as I forecast on my bracket.
March 18th, 2010 at 10:35 PM ^
Sweet 16? No chance.
They're in the elite 8.
March 18th, 2010 at 10:11 PM ^
Wake-Texas, hopefully the best game of the night.
March 18th, 2010 at 10:17 PM ^
12-4 over Jayhawks at 10:14 pm. I bet KS takes lead for good by 10:20.
March 18th, 2010 at 10:23 PM ^
10:23
March 18th, 2010 at 10:32 PM ^
Ugh I lost 5 Sweet 16 teams already. That is bad.
March 18th, 2010 at 10:52 PM ^
watching Tennessee / SDSU online and see about a minute of a dude lounging at a desk watching New Mexico / Montana with no sound?
March 18th, 2010 at 10:55 PM ^
saw that as well. I've got that dude in my final four.
March 18th, 2010 at 11:07 PM ^
I hope Montana pulls off this upset. I picked New Mexico, naturally, but I have them losing next round and that's way earlier than anyone else in my work pool.
March 18th, 2010 at 11:26 PM ^
I still can't believe New Mexico got such a high seed. I know they've had a great season, but still . . . teams from puny conferences shouldn't be seeded this highly. Montana got a nice draw.
March 19th, 2010 at 12:20 AM ^
I think it had been up close to 10
