Wisconsin has a really good defense. While not as good as ours, still very good. On the flip side - M has yet to see a defense as good as OSU's (i hate that)

I mean who would admit they're from Sydney?!
Melbourne, I could see that- very artsy and Ann Arbor-y in parts. Brisbane, that I would respect (I'm Brisbane-based). Adelaide, I love their wine. Perth, wonderfully underrated. Hobart... good alcohol of all kinds so that's worth advertising. Darwin, just for having survived it would be worth bragging about.
[But seriously I imagine he really is from Sydney. Sydneysiders never pass up an opportunity to say where they're from... but it's a lovely city.]

It's because of candy ass mentaly like that fan in Sydney. You're going to base it on luck and just let the coaching staffs of Carr, Hoke and Rich Rod off the hook. No my friend, the key players have pretty much always been there.

Let's chill on any hot takes based on a some passes thrown in crappy weather after probably not slinging a football for almost a week.

Yeah, I don't think Brian put that out there just to put it out there. He may not be the one distorting the truth just a little bit.

It was cold, some wind but not that bad the first half unless I didn't see something.

A QB that's less than 100% and hurting is a hit away from being out of the game anyway. Then, a cold O'Korn has to come into The Game in front of the most hostile crowd that he's ever witnessed in his entire life. This doesn't sound ideal to me.

Because the defense is the same as it's been all year: Not giving up points...making life difficult for QB's...giving up chunk plays here and there before shutting it down in the red zone.

For any team.
- more injuries overall
- more body of film on tendencies
- more body of film on what was successful against said tendencies
- colder weather/precipitation
I feel like we are going to have to set the tone EARLY vs OSU, stand up the runner on the opening kick so someone can strip the ball OR take one to the haus on a hook and ladder lateral involving Peppers and Lewis going opposite directions.
I think the game isn't going to be a "standard" game where the teams just hammer away at their "bread and butter" its going to involve downfield shots and plays never or rarely yet seen. Hopefully the Train is one that makes a comeback.
The more football I watch, its all about maintaining drives on offense, and ending drives by the opponent. Over Simple, yes, but things like penalties especially on 3rd down, or giving up a pass play on a 3rd and forever, dropping gimme balls on offense have a way of completely changing the face of the game. Consistency and mistake-free football will win this game.

Totally agree where this won't be a "standard" game. If we're going with O'Korn, we should use more read option. Yes, OSU sees it every day in practice, but we might be able to surprise them on our first drive if we bust it out. Also, I think we're going to see a diversity out of the Peppers package that we've been waiting for all season.
In 2006, OSU got the jump on us with the surprise aerial attack. I think Harbaugh will have some tricks up his sleeve. Bo used to devote a part of each practice for the OSU game. I think Harbaugh has been working on some stuff just for this game.

Conversely, so has Meyer. So that kind of cancels each other out, don't it?

If Speight is out things will need to be different, but we have a solid team.
I'm not down on O'Korn's passing against IU, that weather was nasty, I'm just not sure he can stretch the field yet. Maybe a week of work under Harbaugh will bring that. He does have some speed but needs more protection and time to see the holes--the game may slow down for him a bit now.
I also think that tight end play will become crucial next week, especially if the weather plays hell with long passes. I'm looking forward to crazy multiple tight end formations against OSU in a wet, snowy, sloppy game.
Looking forward to getting the Monkey off our backs.
Who knows? Maybe it will be 9-3 again.
We have the defense to do it.
