Gif of Damion Terry getting blasted by Gedeon, Wormley, and Taco (w/ bonus smack talk)
If you despise sparty like I do then you might remember Damion Terry talking talking smack to Michigan recruits on Twitter a few years ago shortly after he committed to MSU:
@DamionTerry: You guys are juniors in highschool talking about running College Football? #SaveThatShit
@DamionTerry: man these fools who are committed to Michigan in '14 talkin about they're going to run shit....haha
@dhicky695: they just don't know man
@DamionTerry: I just don't get it lol I guess college football is easy
Well, Mr. Terry, you were correct. College football ISN'T easy. It's hard. VERY hard:
As for that comment you made about who was going to be "running shit":

for Roughing the Passer on this play (and others).
Yes, we roughed them up pretty damn good.

Yeah, come to think of it we had 60 minutes of unnecessary roughness!!!

MSU tanked faster than anyone could imagine
Yes, that's fair.
October 30th, 2016 at 10:33 PM ^
Just imagine, they have gone from being in the CFP to more than likely spending the next bowl season wandering thru meridian mall in okemos.

Is it one of their most talented teams ever? Genuinely asking b/c I dont know and I figured they were bad partially because of the amount of talent they have lost.
October 30th, 2016 at 4:42 PM ^
Scott, Shelton, Corley, Price, Lyles...that is a nice nucleus of a fine offense. Defensively, they have good linebackers, McDowell, and Nicholson. MSU has enough talent there to field a solid defense,

Talented? Their record speaks for itself as does our record. We are playing for inclusion in the NC and they may not play in a bowl.
On RCMB they look at this year as a one and done for us. While we certainly lose a lot next year, Michigan is not bereft of talent - experience maybe but not talent. One huge advantage of winning many games as we have this year is the opportunity to play kids who will assume starting positions next year. Our starting D-line nex year will be excellentt and we will have a good QB with a year of starting experience while their QB situation will be an unknown. We may also have 15 more practices this fall that they won't get. Details.
Fuck them.

He's probably correct. While Sparty seems to be searching for an answer at QB, from a raw ratio or 4 & 5* : 2 & 3* athletes, MSU is right up there with Stanford and Washington at the moment. They’re listed as being the 4th most talented program in the B1G just a little behind PSU.
MSU isn’t losing because they lack players…
October 30th, 2016 at 7:25 PM ^
They're losing because they lack players at O-line, D-line, and safety

forward. They may be good for a couple of years but nothing in the 2017 recruiting class says they will be good past that.
October 30th, 2016 at 4:47 PM ^
I don't think it's one of their most talented teams ever. Their offensive line and WRs were better than I expected although we did get a number of sacks and TFLs. The defense is dreadful though. Prolly a 8-4 type team next year.

Wasn't even paying attention to the game.
Like the Michigan coaches and the Refs, he knew it was really over by the 4th quarter and packed it in early.

it has been a long time since sparty beat a michigan team that was much better than msu. they got real lucky since dantonio got there, and to his credit he rode michigans down years for all it was worth.
now if he can keep msu at this level while harbaugh is here that will be very impressive. good luck.
October 30th, 2016 at 4:42 PM ^
You're spot on. If he can bounce back next year and have a good season. that would reinforce his abilities as a coach. If not he merely feasted off of the mediocrity of Dave Brandon and Bill Martin and bungling the coaching search(es).
October 30th, 2016 at 4:50 PM ^
And for everyone who's saying "Narduzzi was the real mastermind behind Dantonio's success," well, Dantonio went into OSU's place last year without Narduzzi, against arguably the most talented OSU roster ever assembled, and defensively slapped them around like they were a bunch of JV chumps.
He's having a down year, but he will find more success there again before his time is done.

Dude no good/great coach goes 2-6 (0-5) when they have down years.
All Time Wins:
#1: Joe Paterno, 2003 PSU: 3-9
#3: Bear Bryant, 1954 Texas A&M: 1-9
#5: Amos Alonzo Stagg, 1926 Chicago: 2-6
#8: Lou Holtz, 1999 South Carolina: 0-11
#9t: Frank Beamer, 1987 VaTech: 2-9
#9t: Mack Brown - 1985 Tulane, 1988 NC, 1989 NC: 1-10
#12: Hayden Fry, 1964 SMU: 1-9
#18: Bill Snyder, 1989 KSU: 1-10
#20: John Cooper, 1977 Tulsa: 3-8
October 30th, 2016 at 6:31 PM ^
so you dont think michigan being down and losing every year to msu didnt help dantonio in establishing that program? okay. see how many times msu wins the big ten now . without the biggest miracle of all time happening last year, sparty would already be on a two game losing streak, and no victory over osu last year either.
