OTish: What former recruit do you plan on watching this season?
In an effort to keep this board college football focused, I wanted to see what former Michigan recruits that we were relatively high on or at least recruited to some degree do you plan on watching this season? This obviously would include former commits as well. This might be just keeping tabs on a player or actually going out of your way to watch a game you otherwise wouldn't just to watch that player. This might give some of us who will be watching several games per weekend this year anyways some additional people to pay attention to.
For me, two come to mind: Kalen Ballage, Arizona State, and JuJu Smith-Schuster, USC.
Ballage I always thought had the size and came from an under recruited area that he could've been good in our offense and this was only magnified by his run last season where he carried a defense over 20 yards for a touchdown.
JuJu just seemed to be such a polished player coming out of high school and getting a 5 star out of California would've been awesome. He was touted more as a safety coming out and now he's being compared as a WR to Dez Bryant by Nick Saban. Hopefully he goes off against Notre dame this season.
What former recruits/commits are you looking forward to watching this season?

I'll be at the games and watch CFB after our game. I will just pick the best game possible to watch.

Honestly, I almost don't even remember recruits' names once they go somewhere else. I do not care about any of them.

who play for Michigan.

I also don't mind watching the former recruits who wound up elsewhere while we're beating them.

Dashawn Hand and Damian Harris

I forgot all about the Harris saga.
Hoke/Borges > Harbaugh ???
Oh my!

On another note, what about NFL? Any notable rookies to keep an eye on?

Treadwell is on the Vikings and will probably see a lot of playing time. Lions fans will see him at least twice a year anyways, but it'll be interesting if he becomes the next Sammy Watkins (aka great talent but kept back performance-wise by the team he's on)

His recruitment was interesting.

Saw him live at Cass. His hullabaloo of a recruitment seems far in the rear view mirror now, but it looks like he's going to figure into the rotation this year for Ohio State.

Saw this topic title and immediately thought Kalen Ballege as well. Dude is an absolute beast, I remember really wanting him as a recruit. If I recall correctly Hoke "cooled on him", which was ridiculous. He'd thrive in this current system.

I mean.... all of our current players except for the walk-ons and transfers are technically former recruits, are they not?

Isaac Nauta. The guy is a great talent, but I'm not sure Georgia will use his full potential.
August 31st, 2016 at 4:59 PM ^
We'll have to see how their offense evolves around a talent like him, but at least he has Eason to throw to him for as long as they're both there.

Ooh that's a good one. I forgot about him. It's hard to decide how big a deal it was that he chose Georgia. I'm interested to see how Bunting, Gentry, and Wheatley compare to him.

As for the OP's question, I'll probably say D'shawn Hand. This should be the first year Hand plays a lot at Bama so I'm interested to see what we missed out on there.

Isaac Nauta. I'm happy with the TE haul we got, but he could have been special in this offense.

Mike Weber and Damien Harris.
I plan on watching them get stuffed repeatedly at the LOS by Michigan's monster DL as we defeat both of them on our path to Glory.

Adoree is the correct answer, IMO.
Mostly because he is so freaking dynamic.

Ondre Pipkins, Derrick Green. Just to see how they look elsewhere. Don't think I will get any East Mississippi CC games on TV to see Brian Cole.

I wonder if he will be featured on Last Chance U season 2.
