Speight is our QB

Submitted by umbig11 on
Speight has been given the keys to the car. As many of you already know, I have been a staunch supporter of JO'K and have a personal bias for reasons that I won't go into here. Anyway, I have it in writing from a respected writer in the business. I will release that next Saturday and give him full credit. Bottom line, Wilton has earned it and he will be our QB. I have a ton of respect for the way he has earned the right to lead this team! Go blue!

Jesus, if he does I imagine OP won't have a job for much longer. Not that I don't love the info... but I can't imagine the Coaches would be real happy once they figure out who it is. I know this is a newer regime and all, but when I was working with the program during the Carr era, a student manager put up inside camp info on rivals... he was soon booted

This is a message board. Message boards contain rumors. They also contain inside information. Major news organizations such as newspapers and ESPN have rather stricter standards for what gets published, so they often aren't on top of this. That's just the way these things work. But don't mistake that deliberately slower pace for ignorance... I guarantee you guys like Stewart Mandel hear tons of stuff like this all the time that they can't blab about. Brian was giving daily, detailed blow-by-blows of the coaching search a month after breaking the email story that so embarrassed the University that it fired the Athletic Director in mid season. Yet Ace and Adam still have their press passes. That's how these things work. This, by comparison, is a small potatoes message board post. No major publication will run with it until they source it independently. This is not going to embarrass anybody.

I would think a news organization wouldn't report it as fact until the team announced it. If this rumor turns out to be true, then my guess as to who would be named the starter was wrong, but I don't think that my estimation that somebody is going to be embarrassed by this will be wrong, although we may not hear about it.

Or maybe you think the coaches were just kidding about this secrecy thing, and were casually letting insiders know about the decision all along?

I gotta say, the Counterstrike guy's story almost had more logic to it than this one. If this one turns out to be true, somebody's going to have a red face.

I don't think anyone is going to have to defect to Russia, but the way this "announcement" came down was hilarious.

According to Op, a media member is the source, "I have it in writing from a respected writer in the business."

So a writer is complicit in allowing him or herself to be scooped; makes perfect sense. Maybe it's because I have worked in CI and OpSec for many years - but there's a reason you don't go all-in on a secondary source - even the reliable type.

Guys, I figured it out. Harbaugh has intentionally leaked this "inside information" through a small-time source. He is gauging the media and fanbase's reaction and change his starting QB based on that feedback. It's a great PR move. So far, I'd say the reaction here is mixed, but if Cowherd does a bit Monday criticizing coach for picking the "wrong guy" the message will be clear and Harbaugh will be forced to start O'Korn. And the beauty is that he will be able to claim that O'Korn was the guy all along. Genius!

By sheer amount of posts and replies by Mr yost its obvious that he is on some type of message board posting type of PED. Or hes a loser who cant find or fuck any pussy. Your constant reaponses and the fact you dont shut the fuck up supports my analysis. Get off the addy or learn how to connect to actual human beings. Its an amazing feeling to meet a girl in person. Let alone get her number then fuck her brains out.

Come a long way over the last year. I remember seeing a clip from early camp last year where Harbaugh was chewing him out saying something like "I'm showing you the right way to do it. If you don't like it you can transfer". Props to Wilton.

I was thinking about that yesterday. He's come a long way from that point. At the very least he is fighting hard for the job. A little over a year ago he was invited to transfer if he didn't like it. IF he is the starter and is successful, that'll be a story they both tell for a long time.

But O'Korn is so mobile. I don't get it. Similarly, I'm still holding out hope that Mike McMahon will win the Detroit Lions job. Mmmmm.....mobility...

"I don't get it".

One of them throws the ball consistently better to the playmakers of the offense...the ones who gain yards and score TDs. Shouldn't be difficult to understand.
